Answer:	I have not tried it but I think it will. I love it for my computer because I don't have to remember passwords anymore. I used a short 18" usb extension cord so the fingerprint reader reaches the top of the desk. Depending on where your computer is mounted, you might need a longer one or maybe none for a laptop.

Answer:	It actually will work just fine.. It needs to be configured on a pc.. and then it functions just fine. The public partition will open immediately .. and then you just place your thumb on the drive.. wait a few seconds.. then the secure partition will open. I put a test file on each partition and they both opened properly. 10/2/20 . Perhaps an earlier version did not. I also used it with the Apple ( not a knockoff) Apple Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter. and accessed it with the "Files" app.

2."Sign-in Options", Fingerprint "Setup"

3.Need PIN code first; if no PIN code yet, Windows Hello will guide you to setup

4.Enroll and Register your fingerprint around 10~12 enrollments(touch, lift), Try to touch your finger by different area,not always touch by same finger area.

First-time computer settings



1.Insert U disk into the computer, the system automatically recognizes UserTool drive, double-click to execute the application;



2. Find "UserTool.exe" and double-click to run the program;



3.Click "Start Registration";



4.Set your administrator password, and click Next when you are finished;



5.Enter the fingerprint name;



6. Press the sensing area with your finger and enter the fingerprint as prompted;



7.After logging in, you can add, delete and rename fingerprints.Click "Add Fingerprint" to add more ;



8.Move the slider to adjust the capacity of the public and private disk by mouse, please note that it may format all disks after clicking "OK", abd you need to back up all important information;



9. After setting, unplug and plug the U disk, use fingerprint to unlock to enter My Computer, to show the hidden disk.

Answer:	Right-click the windows start (menu) icon at the lower left corner of your desktop screen. Choose "device manager". Find and click on the device (fingerprint scanner) on the list. Choose search for device driver automatically. When the windows update screen opens, click on "search for updates". Find and click on "optional updates". Find and click on the device driver for the fingerprint scanner (may be the last one on the list). Please note that I am reciting this from memory and may have left out or misnamed a step or two. I did this successfully on two computers running WIN 10 HOME and one running WIN 10 PRO. The one running PRO downloaded and installed the driver automatically. GOOD LUCK.
