When plugging the Boombox to the AC using the provided power cable, you will be able to use it directly and it will also silently recharge the batteries. We do not recommend recharging our batteries with another device than the Boombox itself though and also cannot guarantee that other batteries will work properly with our unit or will not damage it. For the moment, we do not offer battery spares but they may become available in the near future. Maybe with an AC adapter installed in your van/camping car you would be able to set your Boombox to recharge when on the road, but that's just an idea ;D I hope this answered your question and helped you make your choice. If you zoom in on the picture you can see it on the front, lower face of the stereo. I'm sure it plays USB stored tunes. Not sure if this would play on your car. It does, however, have blue tooth capability, though I haven't tried to use it myself. I doubt it would BT out to your car though. Hope this helps...

Answer:	There three selections on the right side of the boom box . It says Am, FM, FM stereo. When you select AM, or FM, the idicator light will not come on because it is not supposed to. Now, if you select FM stereo the light indicator will come on. The FM stereo means a rich stereo sound which is why the indicator light comes on to let you know that you are experiencing a rich stereo sound . That is what that light is for. I hope that helps.

Answer:	Work?, yes but it is one of the poorest designed radios I have used. Where to start...the power plug is in a terrible place, and the controls are really awkward to operate. The handle is very hard to use without a screwdriver to open it. The balance is bad, always falling over. The shortwave?, forget it. Now the good. I like the digital read out but with manual tuning. Even though it has no bass to speak of, it actually tunes in the stations pretty well and sounds clear. It's cheap. There are a lot of choices out there, this is not the best but work?, Yes.

Answer:	when I bought this cd player the motor didn't work therefor no sound no nothing... i couldn't even get a refund... I return the cd player but still got NO refund.

Answer:	It does NOT work with audio books. That's what I purchased it for, so am disappointed. There's a disclaimer that says it may not work with all CDs. I'm returning it.
