Then you plug a USB into your audio slot in your car and it then attaches to the CD player. It will be the same universal plug on the other side of the USB cord that you would plug into a cell phone. I think some people who say it cannot play in your car just don't know how to do it because I use it every day in my car. Great little player!!!

Instead of using batteries, I can also plug it into the USB jack in my car (right next to the 3.5 AUX jack in my car. Then use the car tablet to select AUX, so the sound comes out of the car stereo.
