Answer:	I haven't tried it but there is nothing in the set up that would suggest there would be an issue with that. This device wouldn't prevent it. I think it would just be a matter of which program/software/platform you're using it with - whether or not it allows multiple sources.

Answer:	Yes it is. For example, I can use it on my PC which has USB 3.0 ports, and it works (quite well even) on my older iMac which only has USB 2.0 ports.
