Answer:	Yes it is a big jump in the volume from 0 to 1. I never noticed it until today.

Answer:	This is not a record changer, it is a manuel player. It does not have auto return, or auto start. Once the record is finish, the turntable will stop and you have to set the tone arm back to its resting place.. crosley did bring back a Stack O matic record changer similer to the old BSR changers of the 1970s a few years back, but has since been discontinued.

Answer:	It says 10 watts, but its really like 3 watts. Its not going to rattle the windows in a home. Its really just loud enough for a small room or office.

Answer:	Yes you can, also it is best to pause after each song . There is a button for this. If you just let the record play through it will not recognize the individual songs. Ie looking g for track 4 on CD from album you won't be able to go directly there as there is no separation. Just takes s bit of pkanni g but worth it!

Answer:	You use a jump drive (thumb drive) that is inserted into the player. The music records directly onto that. I also used a speaker system - so I would listen to the tape as it went, and would know when to hit STOP. It does not stop automatically, as it just plays both sides continuously. It records onto the jump drive as MP3 music. Then put it into your laptop & copy it files from the jump drive to the PC. A warning - some of my cassette tapes were SO OLD like 60 yrs. - they would not play, or the machine ate them. I tried it on a normal cassette tape player first.

Answer:	Yes, you can download the saved files from the USB drive to your PC directly, not need for software at all. The saved folder in the USB drive is "TAPEMP3", you can copy it directly to your computer.

Answer:	Theoretically yes— if a USB Thumb drive is plugged into it you can use the buttons on the back to play, and change tracks. It does not have any internal storage. The intended use is to record the contents of a tape and save it onto a thumb drive plugged into the USB port located on its side. However, when attempted to plug a USB into mine, the whole thing broke apart like a bad comedy movie.

Answer:	It depends on how loud you want it. I think it has a good range. Answer:	No to both. The recording software gets installed on a computer, which is connected via USB cable to the Victrola. The CD player on the Victrola not a CDRW. There is no place to plug a USB drive on the Victrola, the USB output for a computer (with the recording software) is not a standard USB, it's like the end that plugs into a printer (type B?).

Question:	Can I record mp3 files from my computer into a tape with this product
Answer:	good morning!with this specific product you can only transfer from what was on a cassette tape to an MP3 file . You cant record the MP3 files and have them transferred to tape. I do apologize
Question:	I'm not sure if anyone has commented on this, Does it have automatic flip so you don't have to turn cassette over
Answer:	No it doesn't turn the cassette over automatically. Once placed in the ION the cassettes work from left to right. I find the instruction easy to follow, and once you have transferred side 1 of your tape to your computer, you simply turn take the tape out turn it round and place it back into the ION again follow the instructions again to then copy side 2 to your computer. I am 71 years of age and I find the ION Tape Express really easy to use.
Question:	I installed, and re-installed 3x time today because every time i go to open it,it tells me to install itunes, which i do, over and over. help
Answer:	I had the same problem. It appears that it is trying to install a version of iTunes that is outdated or that the current version of iTunes is not compatible/recognized by this converter. That is why I threw the one I bought in the trash. I did keep the headphones as this is the only useful part of, what is in my opinion, hunk of junk. My advise is to pitch it and consider what you paid an expensive lesson. I know I did.
Question:	I tried recording some tracks and thought it was working. But when I went to I tunes and tried to play them there was no sound. Any suggestions
Answer:	I know this is an old post, but thought I would add my two cents. I had the same issue. My computer showed that the item was recorded. I could see the levels on the speakers indicating the track was being played but still had no sound. I tried just unplugging the headphones from the Ion Tape Express per an earlier suggestion, but that didn't work either. I then unplugged the Ion from the computer, and bam! I had I sound. I think as long as the Ion is still connected via USB it is using that for playback. Once you unplug the USB it will play through computer. Hope that helps. I just transferred a track from a home recording that a friend and I did 22 years ago and it came out great!
