Answer:	The new harness you have should work with the binoculars you purchased, I believe the new harness should have the clips you can change out.

Answer:	There are two sets of plastic buckles. The upper set sits on the ridge line of my shoulders close to my neck. The lower set of buckles lie on the flat of my upper back toward the inside of my shoulder blades. The upper set are away from my backpack straps and the lower set are under the bp straps. I think the harness straps could be moved/adjusted inward a bit to avoid the bp straps but I havn't found it necessary to do so. The elastic straps are under the buckle and they cushion the buckle completely for me. For me this is a very comfortable harness and it keeps my eagle optic binoculars secure while hiking.

Answer:	The width of the straps is 1/2”. Too thin to measure on the thickness but they’re very strong and durable I’ve had them for a couple of years and they hold my Nikon binoculars just fine .

Answer:	There appears to be a genuine leather tab, sandwiched into the length-adjusting connector on the cords. The cords themselves are braided elastic (bungee). Next question would be, “What’s the life expectancy of this product.?” Right? OK, the answer is in how roughly will you be treating it. My oldest harness is 7years old and shows no signs of wear, although I only use it during hunting outings. My second harness remains in a bino case in my truck, year ‘round (for past 4 years). I can detect no wear. Third harness is newest and resides on the bino on my kitchen counter, for daily use on the property.
