Question:	How is the front electrical outlet supposed to be used
Answer:	Yes, it will work as the wattage size of the generator does not matter. You are just limited by the amount of wattage you plug into the Tripp Lite unit. For the LC1200 you should not exceed 1200 watts. Just add up the wattage of each item you plug into it and keep it under 1200 watts. If your item only displays amps then take that number and multiply it by the voltage which is 120v. Ohms law, amps x voltage = watts.
Question:	I notice this has 4 high current plugs. Do you think it would handle an Outlaw amp and two Hsu subs fine
Answer:	Yes it would be a solid replacement. It is almost identical. Although, if you are only looking for surge and spike protection, perhaps the M-8x2 would fit your needs. Answer:	This added component should do a good job protecting your audio/video system, especially since it has an automatic voltage regulator. It keeps a flow of clean electricity to all system components and does not allow over-voltage or under-voltage to reach anything related to your audio-video system. I have never had any spikes to my Surround Sound System and this power management device did improve my picture quality somewhat. Try it out. If it doesn't satisfy you, then you can return it.

Voltage Regulation

Regulates the output voltage on Banks 1-4 to 120 VAC ± 5 VAC. This is accomplished through two boost stages and one buck stage of voltage regulation. In Boost Stage 1 the voltage is boosted in the 109-119V range, while Boost Stage 2 boosts the voltage in the 100-109V range. The Buck Stage acts to reduce voltage in the 125-136V range. LiFT Technology EMI/RFI Noise Filtration : Your audio/video components are constantly being bombarded by electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI) through their AC power source. This contaminated power can affect audio/video equipment and will degrade the overall performance of your entire system. Common symptoms of contaminated power include loss of picture detail, dull colors, pops, hisses, hums and visual artifacts.

Automatic Over and Under Voltage Protection (AVM)

Panamax's patent pending power monitoring circuitry constantly monitors the AC line voltage for unsafe voltage conditions such as momentary spikes or prolonged over-voltages and under-voltages (brownouts). These unsafe conditions pose a very dangerous threat to all electronic equipment within the home. If the MAX 5400-PM senses an unsafe power condition, it will automatically disconnect your equipment from the power to protect equipment from damage.Once the voltage returns to a safe level, the M5400-PM will automatically reconnect the power. When subjected to a 6,000V (open circuit voltage) / 500A (short circuit current) surge, the M5400-PM limits its voltage output to less than 330V peak, UL's best rating. The M5400-PM is designed to provide noise isolation between the outlet banks so that any noise created by A/V components plugged into the M5400-PM cannot contaminate the power going to equipment plugged into the other outlet banks of the M5400-PM.

Sequential Startup/Shutdown

Complex audio/video systems may be susceptible to voltage transients generated internally at start-up/shutdown if all of the equipment is powered on or off at the same time. This can cause speaker "thumps" which are not only annoying but can also damage the speakers and/or trip product circuit breakers. The M5400-PM is designed to eliminate these transients by providing a "start-up" delay for the High-Current outlets and a "shutdown" delay for the Switched Outlet Banks. This minimizes in-rush current issues by allowing the components plugged into the Switched Outlet Banks to power-up and stabilize before any amplifiers and powered sub-woofers are turned on. This sequence is reversed during shutdown. The amplifiers and powered subwoofers turn off, their power supplies drain, and then the equipment plugged into the Switched Outlet Banks are turned off.

Answer:	So many ignorant "answers" to these questions without a clue how electricity works... There is absolutely nothing unsafe about daisy-chaining power strips and surge protectors. Multiple surge protectors are not going to magically overload a circuit. If each thing your plug in is 80 watts maximum, there's no reason to not daisy-chain another so you have e.g. 19 plugs instead of 10. A single up-to-modern-code 120v socket gives you a nominal 1875 watts.
Question:	Can this be used in India with a 50HZ cycle but with a step down transformer from 220v 120volts
Answer:	From your description, I would be more concerned about how much of a load the wall socket can handle without tripping a breaker. You have a lot a lot of high power consumption devices. A normal household electric circuit with a 15 AMP breaker is good for 1,800 Watts total to all the outlets and devices on that circuit. That would leave only 800 Watts available for your three monitors and sound system. While it is unlikely all of your devices will be operating at full power at the same time, for safety and planning you should base your planning on that eventuality.

Answer:	"Clamping Voltage" is different than "Let Through Voltage". (I can't explain the difference, I just know from my own equipment that Tripp-Lite publishes both spec.) Typical clamping voltage on good surge suppressors are 140-150 V RMS with a Let Through Voltage of 300-400 V.

Answer:	According to some of the reviews, this will only work for up to 100Mbit Ethernet, not Gigabit. But if you're using this to protect a cable modem (coax in from wall and out to modem, Ethernet in from modem and out to router), then you shouldn't need anything more than 100Mbit protection.

Answer:	I have not heard a 3500, and I own a 4500. According to this reference (https://www.avsforum.com/forum/90-receivers-amps-processors/2973392-official-2018-denon-s-series-x-series-avr-owner-s-thread-faq-posts-1-8-a.html) what the 4500 adds over 3500 is below. Looks like the 3500 does not have AL32 processing, which is significant imo. Answer:	Will not pass through 4k @ 120Hz or 8k @ 60Hz do to a bottleneck of the Panasonic chip used. This impacts the all the 2020 Denon AVRs and most mfg claiming HDMI 2.1 compatible. The work around us to connect your pc or console directly to your HDMI 2.1 TV and use the TVs eARC back to the AVR. Even then not all TVs pass lossless via eARC equally.

Answer:	Search Amazon for bnc gooseneck led light. Also be aware this unit is designed to have power applied to it continuously. If there's a power failure or you unplug it and the power returns , all the relay outputs turn on at once, same as plugging all your equipment in at once. Defeats the purpose in my opinion. I took it apart and rewired the 24v to the relays to a separate switch to give the internal processor time to reset.

Answer:	Power cable is 78” total. From right angle 3-prong plug molded onto the 14-2 Romex equivalent power cable to the pre-stripped ends. Realistically an in wall run of 5 foot max.
Question:	Can i use a single to dual rca cable (single lfe from receiver, dual rca to l r on amp
Answer:	yes, panamax should work with converter from 220v to 120v.
Question:	I have a stereo 3.5 mm audio connector from my source. can i use adapter from 3.5 mm into split (l&r) rca connectors for input? safe to join commons
Answer:	Yes & No. It will work but the AVM high volt shut off point will be reduced to approximately 130VAC. So you would want to use the lowest output voltage setting on the Stepdown transformer. I would suggest the 110VAC output.
Question:	Wouldn't this be underpowered for a 4 ohm 8inch 200watt peek sub compared to the same sub at 8 ohms
Answer:	That would be correct if you want the incoming signal protected. A power spike on the incoming signal should be stopped before it gets to the equipment. Cat 5/6 or phone line can be protected the same way. I love this power conditioner.

Answer:	No the lower ohm load the more output power but you have to be careful in doing this because over long term use will cause the amp to heat up due to the ohm load. I have ran mine at 4 ohms for about an hr at 3/4 power pushing a dual voice coil 15” ssa ZCon sub.. I was impressed on how well it handled the unload for that long a time and amount of power It put out..

Question:	What in your opinion is the best power setting for normal use, "on" or "auto" for this unit
Answer:	I would say depends if you use the item everyday/constantly as your sound for your surround. Or if you use surround/theater occasionally. If the latter I would use `on/off` , if you use it often or primarily the auto would be the way to go in my opinion. Plus is the sub easy to get to? Auto is great if its behind furniture or out of reach,etc.
Question:	Does this speaker have a volume control? Thanks
Answer:	Just to clarify something a previous reviewer stated: "Note: If you are using a Sub out/LFE connection from your receiver turn the Low Pass all the way up. " This does not apply to receivers with which you can specify the low-pass cutover frequency. For example, my modest Onkyo receiver has cutover settings of 80/100/120 HZ for the LFE/Sub output. If you have this option, you should consult your main speaker's manual for suggested low-pass settings or simply tune them by ear. For my setup, 120 HZ was both the recommended and best-sounding cutover frequency. 160 HZ was a little muddy :)
Question:	Can this sub be added to a Vizio 2.0 sound bar, for small to medium-sized HDTV's? If not, what should I get? For TV/Games/Music
Answer:	Like John, I too have a Vizio 2.0 sound bar and this pairs very well. I have a small theater room (10 x 20) and this one 10" fills the room. This sub is the best bang for the buck you can get.
Question:	Do I need a Y-adpater? A sound tech told me one sub wire would do the trick and just plug it into the L and ignore the R. Is this true
Answer:	Initially, used a one wire connection. Sounded OK, but .... Got a "Y" connector, attached at the rear of the amp, ran L & R wires to the PSW10: sounds amazing now and very adjustable. Need to get the PSW12 to get a one wire connection. Am very satisfied with this sub and would recommend it. Used in a 12' X 20' room, front/back/center and now the sub. Tom
