Answer:	I build custom orthotics. The boot can handle an orthotic that is the same thickness as the insole you remove. Any thicker in the toe or heel would make the boot too tight. You can have a higher arch in the orthosis, but remember that a higher arch raises your foot and it might make the boot tighter. I always get boots 1/2 size up and a size wider to accommodate my orthotics. It only adds 1/4 " to the shoe and is so much more comfortable.

Answer:	I wear these boots on a farm with ordinary thickness socks in temperatures not quite 100 degrees F and have never had an issue. I have never actually "hiked" in them, but have spent hours walking and crouching so wouldn't imagine they would be too hot.

Answer:	WARNING: Ignore the people saying they've had 5+ pairs. They are talking about the not non-flatwire 1.0s which have been sold for years. The new flatwire 2.0s are much more reliable from a durability stand point and have only been around maybe 2 years (not long enough to have 5+ pairs). I like the sound of these buds and have been using them exclusively for a few years (I use high end cans for my home use). The old 1.0s did not have a flat wire and were in production up until around the beginning of 2013. Those ones would either have a bud speaker blow out or wire disconnect after about 6 months of use. My most recent pair of flatwire 2.0 buds however, lasted almost 2 years. At the average price of about $15 and given the very adequate sound (comparing earbuds here) at the low pricepoint makes these a very buyable pair of headphones. They won't last forever, and aren't indestructable, but they hold up well and are much better design than the old models.
