Question:	Has anyone used this for diving and skiing? need a dive computer, but want to track my runs/top speed when i ski as well
Answer:	The skiing feature is NOT working well. I have used it many times and was getting various false readings including bogus altitude and impossibly high speeds. Not recommended for skiing. But happy with most of scuba related tracking except few small bugs with the mobile app and the diving related screens.

Answer:	It does not have air integration... one of the biggest downsides to using it as a dive computer, Garmin should have incorporated it for sure!

Answer:	Certain watch faces seem to have more trouble staying on than others. Also, the image does not stay permanently on, just the time.

Answer:	I got the Venu over the Vivoactive 4 simply because of the display. I personally didnt see any notable differences between the two models. if you are looking for detailed differences you should compare the specs between the two. The only thing i can see a difference in is the battery life/display. Based on over a month of usage, on average i get a solid 6-7 days of regular usage.

Answer:	Mine came with a charger but honestly I have never had to use it as the solar has kept it going for the many months I have owned it. One side comment, this is a big watch. It's actually too big for my wrist but it has so loaded with features that I wanted that I wear it anyhow. Also it is surprisingly light for its size. I like everything about mine, especially the larger image on the normal watch display which helps my aging eyes!

Answer:	No. The watch is a passive GPS receiver. Your location can not be tracked by someone else in real time. The path that was followed can be seen when watch data is downloaded to the GPS Master PC software.

Answer:	It can absolutely run independently from your phone. The phone feature is mainly for messaging and transferring your progress.

Answer:	No, polar hrm does not work with mine.
Question:	Does the wrist hrm work for swimming or do you have to use the chest hrm
Answer:	The wrist HR sensors do not work well when submerged in water. By not well I mean, mostly not at all and sometimes but very inaccurate. You must have a chest strap to get an accurate reading. If you do most or all of your swimming in a pool, get the Garmin HRM swim. If you're happy with the results of the wrist based HRM for other activities (run, bike, exercise...) the Garmin Swim is your best option. If you require more accurate consistent data all around get the Garmin TRI. Wrist based HR technology is fine for most of what I do but no one, as of yet, has made an accurate wrist based HR monitor for swimming.
Question:	If the f3 has built in hr, why buy the hr strap
Answer:	The strap will give you a more accurate readout. The one on the F3 is pretty darn accrate when it's tight. If your a hardcore athlete then spend the extra money for the monitor.
Question:	Is it possible to use the watch as only a timepiece? So if its "turned off" (no GPS or notifications, etc...) it'll only display the time
Answer:	Certainly, it shows the time all the time and only displays notifications if you have them turned on. If notifications are not on, it is a watch with functions much the same as the casino pathfinder.
