Answer:	basic tracking aligns with whatever activation period you purchase. note: you cannot use spot without paying for activation. if you purchase activation for one year then it's one year. however, because spot auto-renews your subscription, it's really in perpetuity unless you notify spot that you want to cancel 30 days before the term ends. this is very important and a major source of contention with many spot users, and frankly a bit sneaky on the part of spot. this means that if you contact spot 15 days before the end of your term, they would have already auto-renewed your subscription for the next year.

Answer:	Not sure with 10 minute updates, but I have run my SPOT 3 for 11 days straight with a 30 minute update interval on one set of batteries. So far I haven't noticed the need to change the batteries. Hope this helps.

Answer:	If the tracker can’t locate 4G service in a particular area, it will try to fall back to 2G if that is available. 4G coverage is extremely widespread in the United States though. Also, keep in mind, that the tracker uses GPS satellites to know its location, not the cell towers. If it can’t communicate with our servers, because of coverage issues, it will keep tracking its location and as soon as it finds itself with service it will send all the queued locations. How It Works:.

First the Tracking unit receives a GPS signal from the sky, this signal can go through plastics, fabrics, under a car seat, in the glove compartment, even under a car. Testing your tracker is the best way to find out where it will work best for you.



Next, a second signal is sent from The Tracking unit to our servers; using Cellular Phone Company networks for real time tracking. When no cellular signal is available the Tracking Unit will save the track in its memory until it regains signal. Battery charge can last up to 2 weeks depending on use. You can set a low battery alerts.



Lastly, you will access all this information through the custom Smart Phone App or tracking website with Google Maps and tracking tools.



Sometimes you may get a drift on the map position if the Tracker is placed in a much concealed location or indoors.

Yes - SO LONG AS you can stand with the 920XT and HRM-Swim above the water.I also find that it helps to hold the 920XT close to the sensor on the HRM-Swim.I use this HR information to guide me in my rest between reps - especially after a tough Fly interval.
Question:	Will it notify me if the device is unplugged
Answer:	HRM-TRI not the best choice for the wall push-off in the pool but Garmin’s other strap, HRM-SWIM works great in the pool.
Question:	will this system work with a 2005 Tundra and iphone
Answer:	I don't own this yet but it should sync with ant+ to cell phone, I have synced the non waterproof Garmin hrm to shealth on my galaxy phone with ant+. I don't know why this one wouldn't. I'll update when I get this one.
