Answer:	It's basically the same cord as our first. The original had to be replaced due to the cord being bent many times where it plugs into the cradle.

I purchased it for a Nüvi 760 which is listed with your model and is compatible with my unit.

Answer:	Seems to me that the larger connection shown in the illustration doesn't conform to the shape of the standard unit that fits into the cigarette lighter. Maybe your car will have the right plug-in, but mine (an older car) doesn't. I'd contact Garmin and ask them.

Answer:	Yes. My Garmin had become inaccurate due to numerous highway construction projects and new addresses created over several years and I needed to plug it into a PC to update it. This is exactly the right cable for that.

Answer:	The one I got didn't. I had to purchase from Garmin to get a cable that would update maps. It does work as a charger.

Answer:	I'm not sure, but this data/charger did not work. It charged but would not transfer the map updates. Waste of money. Get one from Garmin.
