Those things are located in very different places on the two different "generations" of Fires. This fintie is for the newer model (released in late 2013) I looked at the pics of the case (they have one that compares the two generations with the case) and looked at my Fire to double check hole placement and did okay; my fintie fits great. My Fire has a rocker-button for volume, and the fintie's hole for it encompasses the headphone jack as well.HTH!!!! |

| Answer: | I have the same kind of cover (with a magnet) on my 5th generation 10" Kindle with never a problem. It's designed to put the kindle to sleep when you close the cover. I bought it again when I bought the 7th generation 10" kindle and it does the same thing and is safe, as far as I can tell. |

| Answer: | The case features cutouts for the speakers. The speakers are not covered (or blocked) at all when the cover of the case is open, our closed. When the stand feature of the case is being used in the more upright position the speakers point down, toward the surface off whatever the tablet is set on. When the stand is being used in the " typing" position the speakers point away from the user. |
