Question:	Can i connect wired device when in wisp mode
Answer:	Yes it will but you can get a wireless router that would give you the Ethernet ports you desire and wireless access to your internet connection too for around the same price range. If you don't anticipate ever needing wireless this will do the job fine. Remember that if you connect things directly to your modem port they are exposed to the world and can be hacked. Routers like this will secure your devices from the outside world.
Question:	Why does their page say "the tew-817dtr is not compatible with networks that require you to login to a portal before accessing the internet
Answer:	In the FACTORY DESCRIPTION no where does it state that the product has wireless capabilities. The 2nd sentence is basically true..most wireless routers do have provision(s) for ethernet connection..that doesn't mean that the opposite is true.

Answer:	You can hook it up either through the wireless or direct. Hooking it through wireless will limit the connection to it based on the wireless speed output of the modem. Using the ports will give the router the full connection speed to it.
Question:	Can we install DD-WRT or Tomato firmware over TRENDnet TEW-712BR router ? Any experience

Answer:	It's compatible with all types of data modems whether DSL or cable. You simply plug in the data out cable from your cable modem, into the data in side of the wireless TRENDnet. It works quite well with the higher speed modems.
