Question:	I recently upgraded to Verizon gigabit and the modem router they give is lackluster. Does this just connect via Ethernet to the modem
Answer:	Yes. Connect the R7800 to the FiOS router (they don't use modems) by attaching an ethernet cable to one of the FiOS router's LAN ports, and the other end to any of the ports on the R7800. Then set up the R7800 in AP mode, and disable the Wifi of the FiOS router (not critical, but neater). The FiOS router will assign all the IP addresses, and the R7800 will provide wireless services. Works like a charm. You can use the LAN ports of both the FiOS router and the R7800 for wired connections.
Question:	Is this device able to plug and play via ethernet cable from my cable modem to extend my cable wifi range
Answer:	Yes. All of these Netgear routers can either be used as range extenders OR wired into becoming the primary internet source for your home. The latter is actually recommended, if your cable modem is basic and/or sends a weaker than warranted WiFi signal.

Answer:	I don't own this router, but I'd agree with Apollo Grace. Anything that's going to be using this ethernet port will be bottlenecked at 100Mbit maximum. If you're just using this for WiFi only or if you don't mind a maximum speed of 100Mbit on the ethernet port, then buy it. Answer:	Nope just 100mbpsEDIT: if you are still looking for a gigabit wireless router, I have ordered and received an Asus RT-N66U wireless router. It has the same dual band wireless capabilities as the wndr3400, but much better range and built in gigabit switch. No dropped signals in the two weeks I've been using it. Much happier with Asus!
Question:	Maybe a dumb question, but in the system requirements it says it needs "Broadband Internet service and modem with Ethernet connection". Does this mean I need a desktop modem to be hooked up? All I have is a laptop and PS3, will this work
Answer:	If you are only connecting to this device via its Wi-Fi functionality (laptop and PS3), then you don't reality need a "computer' to be connected to it at all except for the very first time to set it up, since you will need to access the setup console via the web to initially create your Wi-Fi (WLAN) network. You have a laptop and it will work just fine to set it up. No "desktop" computer needed specifically. Once you set it up for this first time, the device doesn't need to be connected to a computer at all, again if using for Wi-Fi aka access point. If you will be connecting to this router via its wired connections (4 LAN ports on the back), then you can connect a desktop, laptop, or any other device which has a network card with an RJ-45 connection; almost all computers have one, and video game consoles, and smart TVs.

Question:	How would you describe the 5GHz range and performance at a distance
Answer:	5 GHz band can be thrown only so far. It's not meant to be a long throw radio band but a short thrown band that is higher speed. If you want a stronger 5 GHz band for homes that are usually 4,000 sq ft or larger you may not have enough juice with this unit to cover your home unless you can place this in the middle of your house, which isn't always an option. I recommend getting range extenders/repeaters if you want to cover a very large home or property. Place your router near the middle of your home if you can and install extenders on opposite sides of the house. This will give you a wider throw and allow wireless connections well outside of your home if you would like good connection while out in your yard. If you live in a 2,000 sq ft house this should be powerful enough to offer a strong 5 GHz band no matter where you are. If you live in annolde home or highly insulated home then it's hard to say - radio waves diminish more when fired through walls/floors.
Question:	Can this handle multiple xbox ones with open nat
Answer:	Even the cheapest routers are fine upto about 128 sessions. This router does fine on 256 session. Unless you plan on having more than 256 Xboxes connected, this router will be fine. Your internet connection is a different issue.
Question:	Should I buy this router or keep my x8 router
Answer:	The X8 looks like it has more capacity. They're both mu-mimo and the x8 has 6 ports opposed to 4. One of the big reasons I bought this was the operating system (look up Netduma). So far haven't had any issues - even just watching youtube haven't had the buffering and quality issues I had just using my AC1900 modem router. If you're not having issues you may want to stay with what you got, but if you want the benefits of the dashboard and operating system, and have the money, you can give it a try,
Question:	Can this router just be used for other than gaming?. I don't do games

Answer:	Hello there, In order to attach the grinder to normal table you have to use the mechanical device, provided with the grinder.In order to use the vacuum device your table must have a shinning surface(so the rubber made device could create vacuum by actuating that lever, without having vacuum leak.I have a 3/4 inch by 12 inches by 12 inches high density polypropylene plate to with I'm attaching the grinder, and it issuable enough when you turn the handle to grind the meat.I love this meat grinder(craftsmanship,the way it grinds the meat ) .I hope it will help you.

Answer:	Yes. The thermostat dial is marked in Celsius, with a range of 60-200. The corresponding Fahrenheit temps are 140-392. 190 Celsius = 374 Fahrenheit. Since I don't speak Celsius, I made a cheat sheet and taped it to the side for reference.

Question:	Can systems like these be linked in a line? I mean instead of the satellite units having to be within range of the router, can I daiseychain them out
Answer:	Regardless if Orbi can be daisy chained with wired cable ... if you can daisy chain routers, why not just set up an AP system. If you can hard wired the AP, there is no need for Orbi and you get much better performance. As to daisy chaining Orbi, yes, you can do that.. but that defeats the purpose of using Orbi. The main technological advantage with Orbi is its ability to have a 3rd backhaul channel through wireless connection. If you can using hard wired... just go with the proven WLAN AP (http://pigtail.azurewebsites.net/tp-link/large-building.PNG)... my organization use it to deploy over 200 wireless devices on the same lan without much overhead degradation.
Question:	Is it 100 - 240 Volts
Answer:	It all depends upon where you buy it. In the USA it is supplied with 115V power supplies one for the router and one each for the Satellites, this is OK of you live in the USA or somewhere where they have 115v power in the homes. If you live in the UK buy them in the UK they come with 240v power supplies, so they are OK for the UK, but come with the UK 3 pin sockets. In Europe theu come with two pin European adaptors suitable for Europes 220 v power. The problem is if you buy it in one country and want to run it in another. Netgear do not sell the power supplies separately. I bought mine in the Black Friday sales in the USA and brought them to the UK. I had to buy power supplies from Germany that were suitable for 240 volts and adaptors for continental to UK sockets. Be careful, you ned to know exactly what the pin size is the pin lengt and the pin inside and pouside diameters. To save you hassle you need Plug-in power supply unit, 12 V, 1000 mA, with -ve polarity on the outside The pin that plugs into the ORBI should be 5.5mm outside diameter and the socket 2.5mm inside diam. The length of the pin is 12mm.

Question:	Does Orbi support ethernet back haul between the base station and satellites
Answer:	As of April/late May 2018, the latest firmware 2.1.4.10 has not only broken ethernet backhaul, but it also takes down your entire network such that no device can connect to the Internet if you leave the ethernet cable connected to satellite. There is no way to disable auto update of the firmware. I have had an open support case for nearly one month and have spent many, many hours in that time trying to troubleshoot. Never had this kind of issue with my Airport Extremes, which is no longer made, so I thought Orbi would be a good replacement given all the positive professional reviews. Answer:	It is actually slightly finer than my micro plane grater but I don’t think you would notice a significant difference between the 2. I do find this handle to be more comfortable though.
