I still have the instruction for either of them so the instruction says "Connect one of the Ethernet cable to one of devices then connect to the switch. It states that you can use any one port to connect so there is no special port for connecting the router.Mine connects to #1 port that connects to the router. After connecting to the router, check to see any flashing light on the cable. If the light is still flashing, it should be Okay.

Answer:	You can have multiple extenders that repeat the main router signal to different areas -- extending range in multiple directions -- but you cannot set up a DAP-1320 to become a wireless range repeater to another DAP-1320 (daisy-chained).

Answer:	My extender is pretty much equidistant from the router. The extender creates its own separate network so they do not interfere with each other. However, I have to toggle back and forth from the main router to the extender depending on where I am in my house (2 floors, garage, back driveway, front porch) to get a stronger signal. That being said, if you don't mind tapping a couple of times on your wireless device, the coverage is fantastic.

Answer:	I am sure the 1320 will work with the 311, but I don't own the 311. Instead, what I did, is get two 1320's. I put one in my office in the corner of my house with the internet connection and the other over my tv in the middle of the house. The two 1320's talk to each other via the powerline. The tv is wired to the 1320 above it and streams netflix well. And having a second wifi station in the center of the house means that I get strong wifi signal everywhere in the house. Before I got the second 1320, I used to have no wifi signal in my bedroom, which is in another corner of my house far away from my office.

I would think you would need maximum transmission rates and this power line router probably will not suit your needs.

Answer:	Yes. All routers have a dedicated port (WAN/INTERNET) to hook up to a modem.. that's about the easiest hookup to expand wired and wireless service in your home. If you already have another router hooked up to your cable modem, you can hook up the new router's WAN/INTERNET port to a LAN port on the previous router. In this case hook up the new modems YELLOW port to any free port on the Old Router or the Cable Modem.. Answer:	sorry Mike... I run my office computer, my laptop, the wife's I-pad and my daughter's laptop, often at the same time... with no problem... not sure about the 500 GB hard drive though... we have a really fast signal to begin with, but we can stream/watch youtube... without issues...

Answer:	Status as far as signal strength? No. The power & internet lights do change color (orange to green) when connections are made. I use Ookla Speedtest (it's a free download, just Google it) to test connection speeds.
