Answer: The filter I purchased was a 60mm not a 100mm. The 60mm refers to the outside diameter of the funnel. I am using a fine screen which is 1.875 inch (47.6mm) in diameter rather than a standard filter paper. Assuming the wall thickness of the 100mm filter is not much different from that of the 60mm filter, you probably could use a 90mm diameter filter paper. If you are going to be using vacuum to filter ( I am not), the required diameter of filter paper only has to cover the holes in the bed of the filter rather than the entire inner diameter so perhaps 80mm diameter paper would do.

Answer: You also need a heating mantle for the round bottom 500 ml flask. You can search heating mantles and bipee makes one. Heating mantles come in analog or digital which is more expensive so just get the analog one which should work fine. Mantles come in several sizes to accommodate different size round bottom flasks. I upgraded and added a 1 litre round bottom two neck laboy round bottom flask and the heating mantle for the 1 litre flask but the 500 ml flask and manrle should work fine. The mantle I got was the analog one with stirrer for 179.00. One other thing I needed was a kitchen faucet aerator with 1/4inch side barb/diverter which I really had to search for but finally found on Amazon so I could connect the rubber tubing to the kitchen faucet. However when I got it , the side barb was only 1/8 inch so the tubing that came with kit was too big on the tubing inside diameter. So I had to go to a special plumbing store to get other tubing to fit the barb. I'm still in process in setting up distillation apparatus but once I get tubing to fit, I should be good.
