Answer:	Yes.

Answer:	It's best used with POE (Power Over Ethernet). There are switches available that provide POE as well as POE injectors. Switches are a better choice as they pretty much always allow Gigabit Ethernet where POE injectors usually only allow 100Mbps for some reason (at least in my experience). I've been very successful with that AP but have also used the ZyXel wireless management device. You may be able to use their on-line service to manage the APs as well.

Answer:	If you have an Internet installation (cable or Dish) in one apartment that is connected to a wi-fi router, you would be able to set up and pair the extender in the apartment with the wi-fi router, then plug the extender in an outlet in the other apartment. The extender network is protected with a password so only those who know the PW coils access your network connection.

Answer:	Dan Blake has the correct answer if you want to use your existing SSID. You cannot set it up that way (same SSID) using the WPS method. You'll have to use a second computer or device (I used my phone). Additionally, you'll need to also use the same password(s) for your existing SSID(s) and restart Wi-Fi (let it reconnect once) on each device to get a seamless network. If you want new networks, you can name then anything you want and set whatever passwords you want.

Answer:	When it works, it works great. When it doesn't work, it's a worthless brick and customer service is absolutely reprehensible. The customer service line (since it isn't listed on the website is 888-638-4327) and the phone tree is rage-inducing, and the hold times are beyond ridiculous. I've been trying to get a human for about 15 minutes now, and I decided to fill the time by leaving warnings for others about their garbage-tier customer service.

I would recommend a wireless extender if you receive a good enough signal at your desired location. I find my Netgear signal as the strongest in my house. Your home construction will determine your strength of reception.

Answer:	I think the main difference is that the C3000Z's wireless is 5G compatible.

Answer:	CenturyLink installed the C3000Z as the router to use for their gigabit fiber service - so yes, it does work with 1gb from CenturyLink. I wouldn't call it a modem, although they refer to it as such because that's what most people think is used to connect to the Internet but it is a decent enough router for most people's needs. We'll be upgrading to an ASUS router in the near future for more flexible configuration and better penetration in our home.

I have a TP-Link AC1900 (do not recommend it) and a D-Link AC1900 which is a very good adapter but the Nighthawk has them all beat!

Answer:	In my case, our router & cable internet connection was in my son's room. By the time we got to my room and other rooms in the house the connection got slower, more interruption, lousy TV streaming, etc. Now that we have this extender all of those issues have disappeared. No one can explain it in simpler terms than me because I listen to my son who is going to school for computer programming. I have no idea how any of this works! 
Question:	Can someone explain the difference between the different netgear ac1200s? i want: easy setup, longest range - to use at a hostel in el salvador
Answer:	I have the AC1200 Wifi Range Extender, (Model EX6150). It is worth the money as it seems to have a much more powerful range than my router. With both of them my range is extended significantly. the range easily covers a 3000SF highly insulated home (including all interior floors and walls). The Wifi signal is strong on 3 exterior porches as well. Setup was a breeze and the Wifi signal lights clearly let you know if you are too far from your router to power the extender.
Question:	Does it matter if my wall outlet is behind a piece of furniture? The only wall outlet I have available is behind my dresser
Answer:	I found out from experience that a mirror directly between your computer and the wifi router will weaken the signal. A metal filing cabinet would do the same, but wooden furniture doesn't hurt it at all.

Answer:	I have 2 of the 110's and a 310. Have had them in operation for about 3+ years. These are absolutely reliable and work to protect our networks from multiple threats. Admittedly, they are a little difficult to program until the router methodology is learned.........but, I highly recommend.
Question:	How loud is this item? I am looking for something reasonably quiet for my home office equipment rack. Unfortunately I do not have a server closet
Answer:	Sorry for the delay in responding. It's kind of a subjective opinion but in my opinion this item isn't too loud. I installed one for a client in November in a one-room office; the device is in a cabinet and they haven't complained about it. The other one is in an equipment rack in a storage room so noise isn't much of a concern; however when I was getting the device ready to install I had it on my desk to configure and I didn't find it to be too annoying. This is a great device and is capable of much more than the applications I am using it for. I hope this information helps.
Question:	Is pptp protocol an option for vpn on this firewall
Answer:	VPN options are ipsec, L2TP, and SSL. We use the SSL VPN, with the secuextender client, from Windows10, Windows7, and Mac OS Sierra, all work well, and is easy to set up on the device. The windows client is free from Xyzel.com, the Mac client, sadly, is not. Although a browser-based Java download / install / connect is supported on the gateway, that option does not work with Win10 or Mac OS. Does work with IE11, Firefox, and Chrome on Win7 (or at least it did last year), but the secuextender client works much better, without the security risks of having JRE installed and active. Hope this helps...
