Answer:	I had the same problem. They provided a link to download the drivers, which I did. I installed them on my MacBook Pro and attempted to restart as prompted. My trusty Mac refused to restart even in "safe mode". Tried rebooting in recovery mode and again, would not boot up. I ended up reinstalling my entire drive from a back up drive. Total time wasted=5 hours and I sent this back for a refund. Don't bother wasting your money if you have a Mac, it will only cause you grief.

Answer:	Hey guys, I'm able to have it working on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. I did follow the dkms solution posted by the other user; the script ran into an error, that's when I noticed the shell script requires a manual edit to edit out the version number for the driver's directory, once that's done the shell script ran just fine. Also, I had this adapter plugged into a USB 2.0 port, and the wifi would not accept the password; once I plug it into a USB 3.0 port (duh, lol) the wifi accepted the password and working just fine.

Answer:	The short answer is that 2.4 GHz will generally register as having better signal strength compared to 5GHz. Windows tends to prefer this, and most consumer routers won't signal the endpoint to switch to 5GHz. You can fix this by going to the advanced adapter properties, and seeing if you can set it to "Prefer 5GHz". Alternatively, the WiFi Mode setting can be set to a set that excludes 2.4GHz like 802.11 a/c/n/ac.

Answer:	I really don't know as of yet if this device does that or not. I run Linux (Debian 8.6, Linux Mint 18, 17.3, forget Ubuntu-I found too much spyware in that coupled with a wincrap laptop here somewhere) myself and just had not the time to mess with it on these features. It does work well on Linux under Ndiswrapper though I know I can do better with my own driver soon. Another winmodem that does well with what you want is Netgear 6210 (1900-3.0usb) but you will have to download the chip source and make the driver for it. Not the netgear one. My only complaint is that the documentation was insufficient in how to install the drivers, the key solution as follows:1. Install card (the easy part!)2. Download Windows 10 driver from TP-link site (under Support, Archer T9E, Windows 10 driver) -- this is a zipped file and unpacks to a SETUP application file. You run it and it says the driver is installed --- but really nothing happens, DM says there is no driver... Why? Because you MUST DISABLE the existing Network Interface Device first! Once you do this (then reboot) the Setup runs perfectly and all is well. Root Cause: What happens on Windows 10 system is that the new NIC is created as a Network Controller device, not under NETWORK ADAPTER as is should be (note, it didn't do this on my Windows 7 system). Once the existing adapter was disabled, Windows 10 created the new NIC card under Network Adapter and the Setup utility from TP-Link Driver download ran correctly... it took me over an hour to realize this issue, documentation was bare-bones 1-page sheet and didn't say anything about this. More accurate and precise documentation would have avoided this issue and saved me time/frustration. So I knocked off one star for this.
