Answer:	I had the same problem. They provided a link to download the drivers, which I did. I installed them on my MacBook Pro and attempted to restart as prompted. My trusty Mac refused to restart even in "safe mode". Tried rebooting in recovery mode and again, would not boot up. I ended up reinstalling my entire drive from a back up drive. Total time wasted=5 hours and I sent this back for a refund. Don't bother wasting your money if you have a Mac, it will only cause you grief.

Answer:	To be technical this creates another network adapter for your computer/laptop. It can NOT be used as a booster for range with an existing wireless adapter. It might get better range than your current adapter. But it will not supplement it at all. Completely separate device from any other network adapter (wired or wireless).

Answer:	Hey guys, I'm able to have it working on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. I did follow the dkms solution posted by the other user; the script ran into an error, that's when I noticed the shell script requires a manual edit to edit out the version number for the driver's directory, once that's done the shell script ran just fine. Also, I had this adapter plugged into a USB 2.0 port, and the wifi would not accept the password; once I plug it into a USB 3.0 port (duh, lol) the wifi accepted the password and working just fine.

Answer:	This device is compatible with anything that has a usb port to plug it into and an active wifi connection. It was produced in 2012 and has to be able to upload the driver to your device either through a cd ( provided) or a search engine. I'm no ps4 expert but if your game meets these requirements it should work but it's not really plug and play. It will need configuring once it is set up. I have all new equipment and still never made this work real well for me. I haven't spent much time on it though. Results are different for others depending on the device and the wifi connection. The price is right but just keep in mind that the technology is 8 years old and will require some patience to set it up

Though not apples-to-apples, I tried this on our Xbox One S for you (unplugging the LAN and trying to get the external wifi adapter to activate rather than built-in console wifi) and the One S did not recognize the adapter at all. You may be better off buying a wifi range extender than includes a LAN port so you can connect your wifi to the extender then run the ethernet cable from the extender to your xbox 360.

Did not work for me for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS possibly due to the documentation that comes with the driver stating the driver was only tested/confirmed working with Linux Kernel up to 4.8 and my Kernel is newer than that.

This gave me a tremendous network and internet download speed increase over the internal Broadcom wireless chip on my HP Envy (mfg date Jun'15). My only complaint is that the documentation was insufficient in how to install the drivers, the key solution as follows:1. Install card (the easy part!)2. Download Windows 10 driver from TP-link site (under Support, Archer T9E, Windows 10 driver) -- this is a zipped file and unpacks to a SETUP application file. You run it and it says the driver is installed --- but really nothing happens, DM says there is no driver... Why? Because you MUST DISABLE the existing Network Interface Device first! Once you do this (then reboot) the Setup runs perfectly and all is well. Root Cause: What happens on Windows 10 system is that the new NIC is created as a Network Controller device, not under NETWORK ADAPTER as is should be (note, it didn't do this on my Windows 7 system). Once the existing adapter was disabled, Windows 10 created the new NIC card under Network Adapter and the Setup utility from TP-Link Driver download ran correctly... it took me over an hour to realize this issue, documentation was bare-bones 1-page sheet and didn't say anything about this. More accurate and precise documentation would have avoided this issue and saved me time/frustration. So I knocked off one star for this.

One thing to note is you need to extract the driver and build/install it, ( using the make commands ), in order to use it. For people unfamiliar with how to do this, or who may be unsure that they are technically capable, the adapter has very good documentation on the folder on the included disc, ( you can also find the driver and documents on Cudy's website for those who would like to view it before purchasing ). I whole-heartedly recommend this adapter, even for people new to Linux. 🙂 So far I've used mine on a MacBook as well as a Dell Optiplex w/o issue.

Answer:	It depends on your needs. Needs are based on the number of devices connected and the size of area you are trying to cover. I would highly recommend a mesh network unless your home is 1200sqft or smaller. A centrally located router could cover that. The biggest problem is getting the 5ghz frequency to reach throughout the home. The 5ghz gives you speeds over 30mbps on wireless devices. 5ghz will reach roughly 40ft in all directions from your access point (ap). A mesh system gives you multiple ap and thus more area covered by the 5ghz.
Question:	Does it work on ps
Answer:	The 8x doesn't refer to the number of devices you can connect to it. You only want to connect one device and that's your WiFi router. You wireless router determines how many devices can be connect based on the available number of ip addresses on the wireless device. The 8x refers to the speed of Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS). Its informing you on the speed of DOCSIS 2.0 vs the newer DOCSIS 3.0. Ultimately your speed will be determined by how much you want to pay your internet provider. And you can determine how many devices you want to connect by the router you choose.

Answer:	If you only need to have one computer hooked up to the internet you do not need a router. If you want to hook up more than one computer or if you want a wireless network, you will need to buy the appropriate router. My internet speed went from 20mb to 100mb(the speed I pay extra for).
