Answer:	I had the same problem. They provided a link to download the drivers, which I did. I installed them on my MacBook Pro and attempted to restart as prompted. My trusty Mac refused to restart even in "safe mode". Tried rebooting in recovery mode and again, would not boot up. I ended up reinstalling my entire drive from a back up drive. Total time wasted=5 hours and I sent this back for a refund. Don't bother wasting your money if you have a Mac, it will only cause you grief.

Answer:	Hey guys, I'm able to have it working on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. I did follow the dkms solution posted by the other user; the script ran into an error, that's when I noticed the shell script requires a manual edit to edit out the version number for the driver's directory, once that's done the shell script ran just fine. Also, I had this adapter plugged into a USB 2.0 port, and the wifi would not accept the password; once I plug it into a USB 3.0 port (duh, lol) the wifi accepted the password and working just fine.

Make sure Drivers installed properly w/ reboot Lookup "WiFi adapter settings gaming" for a tutorial on tinkering with the settings Try changing your DNS servers to OpenDNS or Google's (8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) Download WiFi Analyzer phone app to scan your WiFi signal strength and channel congestion, you may need to manually change channel of 2.4/5GHz broadcast. Ensure Antennae of Router and WiFi card are tightened securely (I used heat shrinks to hold mine in place cuz they'll come loose). If your signal is crap you can change location of router, use a ghetto satellite dish (cardboard covered with aluminum foil can bounce signal towards your pc) or buy a better router (I use an R2600/X4S running dd-wrt firmware), use a mesh network or configure another router, like an R1700, as an AP by flashing it with dd-wrt.

Answer:	If your DSL modem has wifi, this "EDUP" PC wifi card shouldn't have any problem connecting to your DSL modem. I don't believe there is any bottom speed limit to wifi data transfer rates. However, if your PC is near your DSL modem, it would be less costly to use the EtherNet ports with a CAT5 type cable. (Or whatever EtherNet cable is normal on your DSL rig). Using a direct EtherNet cable, is more secure than using wifi, (nobody down the street can hack into your communications with online vendors), and it's is usually faster than wifi.

Question:	Can it be used for a home surveillance camera system
Answer:	I really don't know as of yet if this device does that or not. I run Linux (Debian 8.6, Linux Mint 18, 17.3, forget Ubuntu-I found too much spyware in that coupled with a wincrap laptop here somewhere) myself and just had not the time to mess with it on these features. It does work well on Linux under Ndiswrapper though I know I can do better with my own driver soon. Just had surgery on my eyes so give me a few weeks as they heal but you can contact me at Kstein_8551 at Yahoo.com. That is the public email address I use mostly. Another winmodem that does well with what you want is Netgear 6210 (1900-3.0usb) but you will have to download the chip source and make the driver for it. Not the netgear one. I just searched Duckduckgo for the chipset ID from lsusb command to get the chipset code. I like it...it's a monster..
Question:	What is the latency like using this product

Question:	my adapter disconnects and re connects over and over again. Do I have a defective adapter

Installation and how to use

1. Insert mini CD or download driver from online driver link to install the program.

2. Plug in the wifi adapter to any USB port on your computer.

3. Open the “REALTEK USB Wireless LAN Utility”, click “available networks”, select the network signal and connect.

Important Note

1. Please plug the Wi-Fi adapter into the usb ports behind the computer host if using on a desktop. And try to plug it into a USB3.0 port to ensure enough power supply for the adapter.

2. Please turn off the built-in Wi-Fi when using on a laptop.( If your laptop has the built-in Wi-Fi ).
