| Answer: | Yep, there's a little microswitch in the pinhole that you feel "click" when pressed with a pen. My experience is that, a bit different from the manual on certain "releases" of this unit, that it must be plugged in and running for about 10 seconds, before hitting and holding the reset switch for 30 sec. I've had units that were programmed and then stored in the closet (as pre-programmed spares) for several weeks/months. The reset button would no longer work on these units (to repurpose them for some OTHER use) when the power is off. My guess is that a capacitor onboard must have at least a residual charge on it for the un-powered reset to work, so I long ago gave up on the un-powered reset method. |
