Question:	Many peelers take too deep of a peel off the potato or carrot, wasting vitamins. How does this one perform in that regard
Answer:	This peeler is VERY sharp. And that's a good thing. But if you are too aggressive it can take off a deep peel. So take a breath and don't attack that cucumber, just use less pressure. Your veggie will thank you, and so will your arm.
Question:	Do you use this by peeling away from yourself? I have one that looks just like this, but (I'm a righty) you have to peel towards yourself! No good
Answer:	I bought this because it is ideal for peeling small things, like small potatoes, or an apple. I find its size so helpful - you can hold the object with your thumb and peel towards your body using your remaining fingers. That's the way my mother taught me and for me it's still the most efficient way to peel. I bought a super sharp peeler that you pull and found it too heavy and cumbersome. And useless for anything small. Also the wide blade crosswise to the handle was just super inconvenient. Maybe I'm getting old, but I had a hard time making it connect and then pulling.

I carelessly ended up ordering it via Amazon Prime from seller "GeouFfkuhbk" (seller info: "GeouFfkuhbk storefront / Just launched / No feedback yet"). The item received has no brand or origin markings, was in a generic plastic bag, and says on the bag's label "Made in China". It fell apart on first use; the blade detached from the metal swivel shaft. It's going back, will try to reorder from a seller with good feedback to get a genuine Linden peeler.

Question:	Would this peeler work for slicing vegetables, slices about 1 mm (1/25 inch) thick? I figured their deluxe peeler makes thicker slices
Answer:	Not quite, I don't think, but close; much closer than a standard, run of the mill peeler. One of the "cons" of this peeler is the thicker slices (my mom doesn't like how much of the outside of a vegetable it takes off) where I don't care because it peels a lot, quickly - that equals thicker slices though. Hope this helps!

Answer:	Hi Ksenia, the Deluxe is the larger peeler and yes, it is 'egg shaped' so a bit difficult to get a diameter. The handle is 4 3/8 inches long, 3/4 inch wide and 1/2 inch thick (at the thickest part). Circumference is 2 1/4 inches.

Answer:	I love it. It is larger than other vegetable peelers but sharper. It is heavier to hold but I adjusted to it. For you, it depends on how big your hand is and if you want a peeler that stays sharper a lot longer than the others. I recommend it to everyone.

Question:	What vegetables can be peeled or julenned with this tool
Answer:	This is still new for me but so far I've used it to peel potatoes, carrots, squash and cucumbers. So far only julienned potatoes. Works great!
Question:	What size are the julienne strips it makes
Answer:	They vary a little with technique, but the cooked result is about the size of spaghetti or just a little larger when constant pressure is applied. Length depends on the vegetable and if you cut it. Raw size is a little larger. It makes about 8 strips per inch width of vegetable.
Question:	How wide is the usuable part of the blade on this julienne peeler
Answer:	Thanks for your question. The usable portion of the Julienne side is just a hair over 1.75 inches in width. The regular serrated side is 1.875 inches in width. And the overall width of the head is about 3.44 inches. Hope this helps!
Question:	Is this dishwasher safe or do I have to wash this by hand
Answer:	Thanks for your question. Our peelers are indeed dishwasher safe and can be run in a normal cycle, but most of our customers don't really even need to send it through a full cycle. Most are doing a fine job cleaning it by simply using warm water and a soft brush. One thing you should NOT do is use a hard, abrasive brush or cleaner such as steel wool because that would ruin the finish. Additionally, if you have well water or hard water, it is suggested to wash by hand and dry fully. Hardwater contains excess iron which may cause rust on stainless steel objects when left wet and exposed to air.

This tough, durable, 8-inch peeler gets a potato naked for its bath in a jiffy. Cucumber, carrot, and apple peels succumb quickly, too. Question:	Can I replace the flat blade with a serrated blade
Answer:	I have no idea, I have not tried to do that. I like the blade that it comes with.

Answer:	The peeler itself doesn't say where it was made. I don't remember from the packaging. I usually buy American so I'd like to think it is.
Question:	Just received oxo peeler blade is offhow do i put it back on
Answer:	After looking at my own peeler (which I love) it seems that the best course for you is to return it for a new item. Any attempts to install the blade will probably result in damage to the peeler. The Blade support is fairly thick SS. It is not flexible. To insert the blade would require forcing the support open to allow one end of the blade to slip into its hole and then to reshape the support to lock the blade into position. Will require some tools and a way to hold the peeler while performing the installation.

Answer:	They are available directly from the company. A bit on the expensive side, though. But the peeler is so good, it is worth it!
Question:	is this peeler tough enough to peel the skin off raw butternut squash
Answer:	This is the best peeler I've ever owned. I don't know if it will peel the tough skin of a raw butternut squash but I'll bet it will! I just tried it on a big raw pumpkin and it peeled the skin off just fine.
Question:	How does this peeler differ from the non-Pro OXO peeler
Answer:	I actually have both. This peeler is sharper for one thing. While the peels still seem to stick to the top of the peeler (one of my pet peeves), there is less of that than with the regular OXO peeler. The main difference is the sharpness.
Question:	Where can I buy the replaceable Blade
Answer:	I contacted OXO about replacement blades and received a response today (Sept 18, 2017). They have discontinued the blades.
