Answer:	You can hook it up to anything with a red and white connection. Or if you get the rca to 3.5mm jack then you can hook it up to anything with an input slot. I used this on my realistic lab 440 which doesn't have a preamp. Once I connected the ground from my turntable into the ground slot on this amp, my music sounded loud and clear.

The Receiver should have multiple inputs for receiving signals from eg. CD, Tape, VCR, etc. In my experience those labels are for convenience and interchangeable with the exception of a "Phono" input. NOTE: If the receiver has a "Phono" input then there's a built-in preamp. If your using an external preamp (Pyle PP999) do NOT plug it into the Receiver's 'Phono' input, it could cause damage. I plug the preamp for the turntable into the Receiver's 'VCR' or 'TV' inputs.

Answer:	My guess is it may not be what is pictured exactly but very similar item. In any even I would suggest steering clear of these and similar price ranged items. The sound quality is just not there! I have a semi-pro DJ system (big sound) and I thought I can get one of these numbers and convert my older house/disco/dance music to MP3 and once I did that my BIG SOUND DJ system would take over & fill out whatever sound was lacking from this small sound item. To my shock what I recorded to MP3 flash drive was JUST AS inferior as the machine that converted the LP to MP3. That is when I realized cheap don't really get "upgraded" regardless. I KNEW the sound from this item would leave LOTS to be desired. I had NO IDEA that which was left was in no way shape or form AVAILABLE when using his machine and transferring end result MP3 to ANOTHER far superior system TOO???. The sound was tinny, distorted & even when I call myself blasting the volume (on DJ system) it was OOH NO do not put that on any listeners ears EVER! It's a SIN to not wish upon your worst enemy on the dance floor! ALSO with these low end machines there is an issue of WHEN it STARTS recording. There seems to be some sort of lag time where even though you PRESSED "record", the machine tends to STILL start recording AFTER the song on the LP has begun playing!!! So you have this music just ABRUPTLY cranking onto your set unceremoniously. I just thought the ELECTRONIC version of recorded music is SUPPOSED to be ...well... an "UPGRADE" from the vinyl!!! This thing is just making matters worse than having the LP! I think the more high end of these machines have to be the way to go! I was dense enough to attempt buying a SECOND similar one (after the first one pictured here decided to just stop recording to MP3 altogether, I guess the sound was so awful the machine put ITSELF out of it's misery) the replacement looked better and seemed to promise a better experience by “Wockoder” ASIN# B083SGNC9T I may try to picture it. It was almost identical experience with slightly different issues summing up to these things are not for the more refined ears. If you just want to play old records & NOT bother recording them & don't need to have a FULL SOUND FILL the ROOM experience of your music go ahead it will be like an old Victrola nostalgic kind of experience so so machine so so sound. But if you need MORE listening pleasure THIS AINT IT! & again I was not smart enough to send back in time so I'm stuck with not ONE but TWO mistakes sitting there laughing at me in unison...until I play my DJ system and drown out my sorrows.

Answer:	You need to purchase a preamp that is designed for the input that you are using. Microphone inputs and phono inputs are not the same. Behringer designs different preamps for each of those functions. Check them out.

Answer:	Yes. You can hook the turntable's RCA jacks to the speaker RCA jacks and get audio. However, if it's an older turntable it may not be grounded, and you will hear a humming sound. Also, your audio will be very low in volume. The pre-amp will eliminate the humming sound, and give you the volume you desire.

Question:	Does this thing have an/off switch or do you need to plug/unplug everytime you use it
Answer:	no switch. You can plug/unplug, I leave it plugged in all the time.

Answer:	Most likely people who are having noise problems it is because of ground loop isolation problem. If you have a ground loop isolation problem grounding the preamp box is unlikely to help. Without getting technical, what you want to buy is a ground loop isolator or a humm eliminator; both the ground loop isolator and humm eliminator tackles the cause of the noise at the fundamental source of the problem, depending on your audio setup, one maybe easier to use than the other. To use the ground loop isolator or the humm eliminator they generally come with instructions, or you can google this topic. If the noise in your audio system isn't fixed by using this solution the first time, try putting the ground loop isolator and humm eliminator at various points in your audio system. Also you can talk to audio people and get advice about how to fix ground loop problems from people who setup big audio systems, for concerts and such; if you talk to the average electronic garage shop audio enthusiast you are likely to get bad advice, i.e., meaningless explanations. Also caution must be used when Googling this topic, much of the discussion, advice and explanation on this topic is bogus, you can get a general correct feel of this topic if you read a number of explanations. Also one more thing that can cause a "popping noise" is that you have too much gain, this is a phono amp and the gain is huge, it takes a 3mV and makes it 2Vp-p this is a gain of around 100 to 200, if you gain up the audio signal too much then the signal out of your amplifier runs out of head room and clips, this can cause a popping sound, essentially you have too much gain. If this is occurring you need to either buy a preamp with less gain or attenuate the signal before it gets to the preamp. If this is a problem, too much gain, you can buy preamps with gain control.
Question:	My turntable has very quiet output. Will this device help boost the volume
Answer:	Yes, indeed. If your need was like mine (no built-in pre-amp on the turntable and no specifically dedicated phono input on your amplifier) you will find this unit to be the perfect solution to needed amplification of the turntable's output. Don't forget to hook up the ground wire as directed or you may wind up putting unwanted noise into the audio.
Question:	My amp DOES have a Phono Input, but my cartridges are low output. Can I use this to boost the signal using the Phono Input to reduce audible hiss
Answer:	No, you can't. This is a phono preamp with RIAA playback equalization that amplifies the signal about 100 times, so it essentially does what your built-in phono preamp does. The output signal from the separate preamp is equalized to a nominally "flat" frequency response and the amplified signal level will overload and probably damage your built-in phono preamp. Plug it into any other stereo line input on your system (AUX, CD, DVD, TAPE, VCR, etc.), but NOT the PHONO input! If you need higher signal gain, maybe look at phono preamps from ART or TCC that have output level controls. If you use moving-coil (MC) cartridges, you need a preamp specifically designed for them...they require at least 55 dB (over 500 times) signal gain vs. about 40 dB (100 times) for moving-magnet (MM) cartridges. Noise becomes a critical issue with MC cartridges because of their extremely low signal output, so good-quality cables and good turntable grounding are essential.

Answer:	Bottoms of legs are padded. The top rest is padded as well where it hold the computer. For the money this is a great stand

Answer:	Not really. I mean you'd have to disassemble and reassemble the stand to adjust the location of the shelf, and you'd be limited to one of the sets of holes used to bolt the stand together. The shelf is held in place by the same bolts that hold the shelf together. You could get some of your own bolts and nuts and customize it so you can put the shelf anywhere. But seriously, the shelf is pretty useless. I never even install it.
