Setting Up Wired Ethernet with 9IN2 MacBook Air/Pro Docking Station



Step 1. Connect Your Computer to the Network



Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the network card or port in your Macbook Air/Pro and the other into the Ethernet jack on the wall.



If your Ethernet jack has one orange port, plug your cable directly into that port. If the Ethernet jack has two orange ports, try the one on the right side first, as this is usually the single activated port.



Step 2. Configure TCP/IP



In System Preferences -> Network select Built-In Ethernet from the Show: drop-down menu.



With the TCP/IP tab selected, select Using DHCP from the drop-down menu.



Click Apply Now and then quit System Preferences.

1.Connect the OEM power supply to the PD port on the product.

The cable to connect the laptop to the dock is a double USB-C cable: one cable that terminates in two USB-C heads that are spaced apart so they both fit into the side by side Thunderbolt ports on 2016 or later Macbook Pros, or 2018 or later Macbook Airs. The 2015 Macbook lacks the correct ports.

How to make the display settings?

• Note:
• Based on PD protocol,in order to protect your MacBook,when the MacBook enter sleeping mode,the hub will disconnect with MacBook,so have the phenomenon that the hub does not charged the laptop occasionally.

Answer:	It does come with a Thunderbolt 3 cable to connect to the laptop. It is only 1 foot long though, so personally I bought a 3 foot Thunderbolt 3 cable to replace it. If you purchase another cable, be sure to get one that specifies it is Thunderbolt 3 and not just USB-C
Question:	Anybody try this with linux yet
Answer:	I am running this with Ubuntu 19.10 right now and had it working with 18.04 and am doing a combination of hooking into two 4k displays and two 2k displays depending on where I am at. The main trick is either run your TB3 port unsecured or secure it and run`boltctl list` and then `boltctl enroll ` with the UUID being listed by the boltctl list command. Also I am running this with a Dell XPS 15 7590, which works great while Lenovo's TB3 support is total junk, especially if you hope to hook in two 4k displays. Lenovo's TB3 support is total crap in both Windows and Linux, so it is a combination of hardware and firmware issues I am running up against. Video is definitely less glitchy / buggy with this dock in Ubuntu 19.10 than 18.04, so when 20.04 rolls out, you should have a long term release working like a champ, but in the mean time you could hang out in 'experimental' land for reasonably good support. Anyways in Ubuntu 19.10 I can get this Dell laptop to properly sleep after disabling Bluetooth where in 18.04 it just wouldn't go all the way asleep and then would wake, sometimes while in the bag, which is bad and nothing would work right, especially not this dock. Actually typing this up right now through the dock after pulling the sleeping laptop out of the bag and plugging in just the TB3 port to this docking station all while under Ubuntu 19.10.

Answer:	The WUDN Resin & Wood cases do not smell. The resin is completely cured and the wood has no discernable smell. Some of WUDN's other cases, especially the Aromatic Cedar do smell like wood.
