Answer:	01March2020 - I owned this backpack up until Friday when my rental vehicle was broken into and someone stole the backpack. I travel a lot somewhere between 6 and 8 months out of the year. In the past 2 months it has not mattered if your laptop is in a TSA approved backpack it will be removed out of the bag. Either way I am looking to replace my stolen bag with the same backpack since it is extremely durable and very high quality. I mean it has endured 3 years of overhead and underneath seat storage on airplanes. This backpack is a great buy.

Answer:	I don't think it's 100% water proof. It's more water resistant. I think if you are standing a drenching rain for a period time, everything will get wet. But walking around for a short period of time in the rain, it should be okay. My son uses this at all weather to walk in between classes at school.

Answer:	I have an Alienware Gaming laptop that has a 17.3in display and it fits in the laptop compartment with room to spare. I have about a half an inch of room on top where the corner of the laptop is closet to the zipper, about an inch of head room at the very top and about two inches of room on the side. No jack knifing in in there either, it's perfect for my needs.

Answer:	The newer Seagate models: ST3000DM008 ST1000DM010 ST3000DM009 ST2000DM006 ST500DM009 ST2000DM007 All spin at 7200 RPMs, and the description on THIS drive's product page for this drive is wrong. This drive spins at 5900 RPMs. You won't find it in any spec sheet, but this drive is a pmr model, has 3 platters, or discs, but it's specs are slower than those other drives I listed. Average data rate, read/write (MB/s) 156MB/s Maximum sustained data rate, OD read (MB/s) 210MB/s as compared to this model: Average data rate, read/write (MB/s) 161MB/s Maximum sustained data rate, OD read (MB/s) 190MB/s This has a faster average read/write speed, but a slower maximum sustained read. That's explained by this next bit: Track density (avg) 352ktracks/in Areal density (avg) 625Gb/inch squared as compared to what this drive has: Track density (avg) 390ktracks/in Areal density (avg) 811Gb/inch squared The other drives that spin at 7200 RPMs for these new Seagate pmr drives have less density for bits, so even though this 4TB is slower than the other models, it's bit density makes up for it. Hopefully one day Seagate will be able to spin these higher density pmr drives at 7200 RPMs, because they would SMOKE most other drives and be outstanding in a RAID 0 config. Hope that helps, and I had to bounce between 2 different spec sheets to answer this. So the description here on Amazon for this model is WRONG.

Answer:	I bought two of these for surveillance unit replacement drives. We do have 16x 4K video cameras and these drives really keep up with it with no problems. These drives were sold for surveillance but streaming will be fine on these drives.
