Answer:	Not sure if its waterproof but it holds my 17" laptop with not problem. I also travel with my 15" at the same time without any problems. Plenty of room. I'm very happy with my purchase and have owned the bag for a year.

Answer:	It fits 15.4 inch, 15.6 inch easily; then you would have 2 1/4 inch of free space. I believe it is doable to fit 17.3". This is a wonderful backpack and very comfortable to carry a notebook.

Answer:	Yes. I travel with two laptops, a 17 and 15 inch at the same time and there is still room for accessories in the additional pouches. Highly recommend this backpack. I use it for travel with the airlines, no problems taking it on board.
