Answer:	I bought this bag about 9 months ago and have used it off and on as a day pack in Rwanda. I've really liked the accessibility of the bag and the fact that, even when packed full, it maintains a very low profile and disguises the weight so that it doesn't feel super heavy. That said, today I was walking back to my house from a coffee shop... about a 15 minute walk... and it started raining. I was in heavy rain for about 10 minutes and when I got home, the backpack was completely soaked all the way through. My laptop was wet, but fortunately not damaged, and one of my textbooks will have to be aired out. Every single item in my bag was damp, and every single interior surface of the bag is wet and I now have it hanging in the shower to drip dry. This is from Thule's website... "Enhanced protection from the elements, thanks to welded bottom panels." Not sure I'd qualify that statement, nor would I say it's water resistant. Great bag, but don't take it with you if there's a chance of rain. Very disappointed.
