Answer:	The Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen anime series is the adaption of Mask of Deception. Keep in mind the anime changes a lot of the story and it is very noticeable when playing Mask of Deception. Mask of Truth is brand new content, recommend both games even if you have watched the anime.

Answer:	This is the second part of the second arc. It goes Utawarerumono (2002), Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, Utawarermono: Mask of Truth. The false faces anime actually came out a month after Mask of Deception, so they were probably being worked on at the same time but the game came out first. The main character is different in these two arcs, Hakuoro in the first and Haku in the second.
