Answer:	I guess that depends on whether your bed is a king or California king and how tall the mattress is. It is 86” wide and 104” long which should give about 7” drop on each side of a king mattress. I actually bought a king to go on a queen bed and it hangs down like the ad picture. Of course it would be nowhere that long on a king. If it was me, I would measure a coverlet that fit the way I wanted and compare the measurements.

Answer:	Both of my boys have this one, and they sleep without a sheet. I sometimes cover up with it It is not fuzzy soft, but is not bad. It will be stiff until after a few washes. I don't use fabric softener, but that would probably get it feeling soft.

Answer:	For others curious about the answer to this question: I just bought this as well (Aug. 2020). The advertisement is false and the seller that answered the question is also wrong. It is microfiber-clearly labeled on the blanket but no where on the packaging. I am returning this because I just get too dang hot with microfiber (polyester and polyamide); as you may know, it traps the body heat and does not "breathe" like cotton filling.
