Answer:	I have actually purchased two of these. One from WCX for $10.85 I had to return because it would not work from a laptop, so I returned it. Then I got one from Enbuer for $28.45 that does "convert" the signal, and it works perfectly on everything I tried it on - computer, VCR, DVD. It only works one way, that is from an HDMI OUT to an RCA IN. Your question does not say what kind of device you are trying to hook up to your "car screen" or what kind of "car screen" it is (like part of a DVD player). It is hard to imagine a car screen that does not have HDMI, in which case a straight HDMI cable should be used. If your output device is a laptop or tablet, you should try changing the screen resolution to one of the ones specifically listed in the paper that comes with converter cable.
