Answer: Yes, and remote as well. It is a first generation unit, which is probably a plus, as there were problems with the second generation units. The unit cannot be activated automatically. Directive will have to manually register it in their database. I've had NO problems at all. The unit updated itself before I could get it registered.

Answer: I think the c41w client will work with a hr54 receiver, however no Direct TV customer may have more than one hr54 receiver which is why I returned it. The vendor knew I could not have two receivers in two locations and informed me of that.

Answer: My hr54's hdmi cable is connected to a non-4k tv. I connected my 4k samsung tv as a client and use it as an RVU. The signal transmits over my wifi. So i dont know exactly if the hdmi output on the 54 is 2.0. But I've been noticing that I'm watching more 4k shows from netflix than the genie. Directv needs to step up and get more 4k programming. Ive been with directv since 1996, but if netflix gets more current programming in 4k, I'm leaving DTV.

All you have to do though is replace the old receiver with the new one, then call Directv with your account number handy and give them the serial number of the new receiver. The serial number and card number will be on the screen when you turn it on. Once they enter into the system you will see the new receiver start receiving information from the satellite almost immediately.

Answer: No. You’ll also need the HR54 main receiver. I made that mistake. I ordered both but Directv said they could not activate 3rd party boxes. I sent them back and Directv came out with their own equipment. After discussing with technician, I realized that there are only three 4K channels and one is for paid movies. Not worth the cost and effort. Get a Firestick for your 4K content.

Answer: The client receiver shipped to me was brand new. I inserted a SWM splitter I had into the coaxial cable coming from the satellite dish, and ran the power pass leg to my HR54 Genie DVR so that it would continue to provide power to the LNB. I only received instructions for the remote control; I powered up the DVR and the Genie, and followed the on-screen instructions there. You need to contact DirecTV and give them the serial number or MAC of the product so that they can attach it to your account and add $7/month to your bill. It's worth it when you get all of the channels in your package on another set plus 4K programming!
Question: Can I call and have this activated over the phone or does an installer have to come out
Answer: Install it yourself, you need a direct t.v. Swim splitter for the cable line. The hr54 receiver and the c61k work in unison when hooked together. Call direct t.v. And give them the serial numbers and MAC address on the c61k box. Keep your internet connected. Once they have that info, wait awhile, reset if you have to and add that c61k as a client to your hr54 receiver. You have to flip back and forth between the receivers but once connected everything runs off that c61k and remote. Your 2 hdmi 2.2 should be connected to both receivers but the main one is your c61k. Update periodically with resetting the hr54 receiver. You have to fiddle with it but you’ll understand it, direct t.v. Did not want to make a new mother board when you could just add the 4K electronics on the side (c61k). Future awaits.

Answer: I don’t think it’s terrible, but the arrow buttons do make a clicking sound.
Question: Will all the features of this remote work with the directv hr34-700 in infrared mode? for example like the scan my tv model
Answer: Yes. This remote is a great replacement for the IR version of the RC65xx or RC66xx that came with your HR34-700. All of the features work just the same as the remote you have now. Alternatively, you may also purchase the RC66RXB - which is the same style that came with the HR34, but as the back light feature too.

Question: Can I buy this brand new H25 and get a AAA member deal ($19.99 for 140 channels) ? I will be a new customer
Answer: Hello, I am not sure, usually new customers have a different deals.. when I bought mine I was already a DTV customer. call DTV and ask them to make sure you can get the AAA deal..
Question: Does this one has access card inside
Answer: Some sellers are including an access card as listed in their description. Some are not. My understanding is that DirecTv wants you to get your access card through them. I am not certain but I know that when I stopped my service I was required to return my access cards or I would have been billed extra for not doing so as stated in their letter to me wh I cancelled my service after 2 years.
Question: What is an SWM system
Answer: SWM stands for "Single Wire Multiswitch" When I moved 2 years ago I switched everything over to the SWM system. It allowed me to have one single coax wire to each receiver. Really cuts down on clutter. To do this I had to have the green label on all components. The LNB, 4-way splitter and power inverter. (I do not have the Whole Home Deca system) Remember each DVR counts as 2 tuners/receivers. I have 4 TV's 2 HDDVR's and 2 HD Receivers. I had to upgrade my 5 LNB dish by getting the LNB with the Green Label on it. Directv does this for free when you move but charges you a fee when not associated with moving. You also need a green label splitter and green label power inverter. You can do the upgrade yourself or pay Directv. Changing the LNB does not affect signal strength.
Question: Is an HDMI cable included
Answer: No it is not.
