Answer:	I’ve never had any line noise or popping using optical. That is via a TV not computer but can’t imagine it would be different. The only popping I’ve ever had was if the power was pulled from the unit and then plugged back in while the volume was up but you shouldn’t ever need to unplug it, it doesn’t run hot or draw power when the switch is off.

Answer:	It works from my computer (running Windows 7) to the input to my amp. Don't plug it into the phono inputs, use other inputs. The Phono input will amplify that input by a HUGE amount. A Phono output is far lower than this USB to RCA unit, CD/Tape/DVD, etc. player.

There is absolutely no need to fiddle with any buttons—physical or in-app—so you can on track with your train of thought during the pitch. If you need to talk to someone on the side, disable the VoiceDetect feature temporarily by manually pressing on the physical mic mute button, and reactivate the VoiceDetect feature by pressing on the same button.
