Question:	i have a portable PA system. the battery number is 6FM2.6-E04. The pic looks like my battery. do you know if this is the correfct size
Answer:	It sounds like you have a 12volt 2.6ah battery. This one pictured is a 5ah. Since you have the original and the size of this is listed, you can compare actual size. Does your battery have F1 or F2 terminals? If you need F1 you will need adapter cable or use a dremel and shave down the terminals since they will be too wide. I had to shave the terminals since my flood light uses F1.
Question:	how long long does the 5 amp battery last
Answer:	Mine lasted only 1 year. I purchased it to replace the battery in my Frontier Fios connection box in Aug 2017. The red alert light came on a few weeks ago and it's now beeping indicating it needs replacement. I was hoping it would lasted longer. The original battery lasted over 2 years.

Answer:	I used the two I bought to replace batteries on a stair climbing wheelchair. The only concerns you should have are the voltage, does it fit and how many ah (amp hours) your ADT system draws. If your nameplate says anything less than 5ah you should be good to go. Remember, 500mah is only 1/10th of what this battery has.

Answer:	Should work the same. This one has a little larger capacity - 5ah vs 4ah. It is a lead battery and rechargeable. The F1 denotes the size of the connector 3/16" wide. The other type is a F2 connector which is 1/4" wide.

Answer:	I just purchased mine but from past experiences it should last 5 years and you can use it without a battery but without the software or battery back up.
Question:	How long will the 425 model run a 5 watt device
Answer:	My UPS 650 software says I have up to 35 minutes when hooked up to a desktop monitor and modem. I would think the 425 would be 20 minutes or less if the same power consumption is demanded. 5 watts isn't much, so it should last longer.
Question:	There really has been no direct answer to the question about disabling the alarm (forget installing software). Is there a way by "holding" the button
Answer:	If you read the manual they make available on this page for the 600AH batteries and up, you will see that you CAN TURN OFF ALL ALARMS! I would not recommend turning off the LOW BATTERY alarm, but you can turn that off too! Not sure about the 425 though. Though, you can look up the manuals for all of them as the not only make them available but ENCOURAGE you to read them BEFORE you buy them!! Kinda like that kind of information being there.

You should avoid a complete discharge of lead acid batteries , as each time you run them down completely you shorten their life considerably. Same as car batteries which are also lead acid... Never, if you can avoid it, discharge them completely.

Answer:	These batteries go in an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) that is a backup on my office server, telephone VOIP modem, and router... they "stay charged" during ordinary municipal electric utility service - but if/when that service is interrupted, the battery powers the UPS for about 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour so that the server can be shut down, and other memory device power-dependent devices can be shut down "in an orderly" (i.e. "normal shut down protocol") manner that saves current data and also won't require complete rebooting when the power comes back on. So I guess "yes they are rechargeable" as that is why they are the standby power. supply for the UPS. They also prevent data loss/corruption by "smoothing" the power supply so that our local frequent "mini-brown-outs" don't disrupt IT functions.

Answer:	I have used them on my Directv DVR's for over 6 years. Only once did I have a problem. The battery died and caused the box to not function. The unit was over 5 years old and past the batteries life span. However ask Directv, and they will tell you a different story. A DVR or any other Directv box is a computer pure and simple. And so long as the UPS is working correctly you should have no problems. I have asked several tech's I know, and they agree, Better to use a UPS on ANY sensitive electronics than not.
