I think, don't quote me on this, that the older wireless adapter is bigger and has a circular button on the side as opposed to the newer adapters with a square/rectangle button on the front of the adapter (waiting for the older adapter to come to me in the mail from amazon so I know for sure :) ) .. check out amazon asin number B0785SFKYF (copy and paste that number into the amazon search box up there on the top) and it will pop up the older adapter.

Q1. Why am I experiencing shorter-than-expected range and / or the audio cutting in and out?

The Avantree Leaf uses a Class 1 CSR chipset specified at 20m / 60ft in an OPEN FIELD environment without any walls or floors in the way. Here are some common causes of short range / unstable audio for the Leaf:

• The range depends on BOTH the transmitting and receiving device. Please test your receiving Bluetooth device with a mobile phone to confirm the range is acceptable. Operation range can be affected by physical obstructions (walls, people, etc.), wireless interference (Wi-Fi routers, Wireless TV adapters, etc).
• An UNSTABLE Bluetooth connection can cause range and audio issues. Please reset / clear the pairing history of BOTH DEVICES and re-pair / connect them again.
• If you've plugged the Leaf into a USB 3.0 port, please change to another (preferably non 3.0) USB port. The USB 3.0 standard has known interference issues with Bluetooth.
• Audio issues can be caused by a slow internet connection if you are streaming content (video or music) from an ONLINE source. Please check your internet speed is acceptable.
• Unstable power output from the USB port can also cause range and audio issues. If you're using a desktop computer, please try a USB port on the back of the computer using the extension cable. You can also try using a USB hub with a power adapter.

• The FastStream codec allows both music and talk channels to work simultaneously.

Answer:	No. You need these specific devices: Wireless display works on new Windows 8.1 wireless PCs. This includes Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2, Nokia Lumia 2520, and Intel Atom Generation 3 ("Bay Trail") and Intel Core Generation 4 ("Haswell") systems. Some PC manufacturers have also added wireless display to some of their systems that originally shipped with Windows 8. Question:	Will this work plugged into an Xbox one
Answer:	I have a surface Pro 3 and this MS Wireless Display Device and I love it. I use it for corporate prestenations and it is flawless. One of my favorite new tricks is to use it as a white board or a flip chart. I walk around the room, wirelessly projecting the audience's responses as it write them down. But I also use the device both at home and in hotel rooms to wirelessly send Netflix to a TV. It works without fail every time.

Answer:	The USB connection is purely for power. If your TV or projector has an available 5v USB port, you use that. One projector I connect mine to doesn't, so I've used a portable power pack I have for my mobile phone and that worked just fine. However, it is usually on my Samsung smart tv which has a USB port right next to an HDMI port, which is the ideal situation.

Answer:	Yes through the adapter. You can raise/lower the volume of the game, the chat and mute. Nifty little thing but worth every penny. The tv volume is drilled controlled as itself. But you can have the volume on low and blast it through a headset.

If you're using a stereo headset adapter, plug in a headset (a headset must be plugged in so the adapter will turn on). 4.
