Answer:	If the drive wasn't encrypted then it should work. If you don't see the drive, try going into disk manager and assigning a drive letter. If the drive was encrypted with Windows Bitlocker, then you'll need the recovery key (looks like a long string of random letters and numbers). See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026181/windows-10-find-my-bitlocker-recovery-key for advice on finding this. If the drive was encrypted with TrueCrypt or VeraCrypt, you'll need the encryption password. If it was encrypted and you don't have the recovery key/password, then you might as well format the drive. After all, this is the exact use case those products were made to thwart!

Answer:	The drive in the enclosure will only spin when data is being accessed. So turning the computer off definitely stops the enclosure drive from spinning. The enclosure also has a on/off power button.

Answer:	I had a heat problem, used it for 5 months. The drive had no files on it so shouldn't have run hot. I took the drive out, let it cool off, put it back in and there was no power to the enclosure. I put in two other working drives, still no power to it. I put the drive in another enclosure and it was not hot, copied 350GB of files to it and it is still not hot. Apparently the enclosure malfunctioned.

Question:	I have a 1TB internal hard drive which I want to convert to external for backup storage.Is this a viable solution
Answer:	Depends on the HDD or SSD you are using and how you intend to use it. This drive is really made for fast-access to a variety of different drives for shorter periods. The interface is high-speed, but the case does NOT seal out dust, it does not give any sort of shock/impact damage protection, and not having any sort of cooling, it can get very hot with high speed HDDs. I have a 10k RPM WD Raptor from quite a few years back that I wanted to pull music off of. Over about an hour of usage, it got quite hot. While perfectly fine for intermittent usage, this is not ideal for frequent or prolonged usage given heat is a major catalyst of premature hard drive failure. So with higher RPM HDDs, this is not as good a choice for constant usage as a dedicated enclosure with some shock protection and a cooling fan/heat sinks. With a SSD, this is obviously not of concern. So if your 1tb is a HDD and you want to have it running constantly for backups, an external with a fan and shock protection would be a better match, IMO. Depending on the age of your drive though, it may be worth considering buying a new drive outright given you can get enterprise grade drives like the WD RE4's in that size for under $70 and SSDs have even gotten very affordable. While predicting when a specific drive fails is very difficult to do, standard consumer-grade HDDs tend to have failure rates increase at the 3-4 year mark and really spike at the 4-5 year mark (Google's study on this is the most detailed I know of to date.) An enterprise drive would give you a more reliable backup system with a longer reliable service life, and usually read/write speeds that are 2-3 times faster than standard internal HDDs (of which you would need to use USB3 or ThunderBolt to take full advantage of.)Sorry for the long response.

Answer:	I bought this package. You can buy the "DJI Care Refresh" warranty separately on the DJI website under "products". It is good for a year. It cost $99. In that 1 year time period they will replace the drone up to two times for an additional fee each incident. The first time they will replace it if you break it, water damage, etc for $79 . The second time it will cost you $129. Again, it only covers for a year. You have to pair the drone to the warranty when it is brand new or within 48 hours of activation. It does NOT cover a lost drone. I bought it. I am new to flying so I figure if I break it twice in a year, it will cost me $310 total to have it replaced twice. Its a crap shoot! You can also send it in for repairs if you don't have a warranty but I don't know what that will cost you. There are a few blogs out there that talk about the cost of repair if you google "Mavic Pro Repairs".

Answer:	According to the Crucial website, the MX200 uses an mSATA connection, not the type of SATA connector that is used on most SSD/hard drives, so you need a different type of enclosure. MacSales/OWC (among others) make an enclosure that will work for this type of SSD card/interface, do a search on Amazon for "mSATA enclosure" and you should find quite a few enclosures that should work...but be careful because other types of enclosures will show up with that same search so be certain that you're buying one that has an internal *mSATA* interface. Hope that helps!
Question:	Why is it not a standard usb 3.0 connecton on the enclosure? now i have to carry around this very specific cord with me everywhere
Answer:	I've bought 2.5" enclosures and 2.5" portable drives, and all have used this same US B3.0 cable. The only other kind of USB 3.0 I've seen has a much larger, bulkier end; and I've only encountered it on enclosures for 3.5" drives - and those require a 5v power source in addition to the USB 3.0 cable. I don't actually know why the difference, but I assume it has something to do with the fact that the larger connector would defeat the purpose of having a small portable drive that is easily pocketed and does not require an external power source other than the USB connection itself.

Answer:	When Red light is on, that means it doing something, reading, or writing, when it goes to blue, then it is ready, not doing anything, but means it is recognized by the computer. Answer:	i can't recommend it to use with linux. i've installed ubuntu 17.10 to this enclosure (with intel ssd inside) and booted it. it works for 5-10 minutes and then hangs on (seems that it disconnects from usb port - i see ext4/block device errors). i've tried it with dell optiplex desktop's and with dell laptops - the same result.

Question:	It works on routers
Answer:	The company says that it will not go into hibernation when connected to a router. I have not found this to be true. What I find happens is that it enters hibernation when acting as a Plex Media Server and connected to my router - but it won't come out of hibernation. Therefore, my media server won't work. Plex says that it cannot mount the drive.

The RSH-339C enclosure is equipped with a USB B to Type C cable. The 339 enclosure is equipped with a USB B to USB A cable. Due to chipset translation, you get fastest data when connected directly to motherboard sata ports. For a standard SSD this is fine as you will never miss the 20 to 40 MB/s difference.
