Answer: | Dont remove handle screws. I think handle is a potential design flaw. Two small wood screws holding all that weight in a hot environment. My handle started to loosen day 1. Wood screws in wood cant be perpetually retightened. Eventually the soft wood holes arent going to be able to hols screws tight. Seeminly huge design flaw in an otherwise well-crafted wok. So I wouldnt intentionally remove/loosen the screws any more than I had to. |

Answer: | Sometime it happens because of low air humidity (comparing to where it was made). Firstly, try to put wet towel onto wooden part of handle for a night. If not helps then the option is to unscrew it, put for example small pieces of paper to holes to tighten the connection. Then screw it again. Usually it works. |

Rich Heritage
MOOSSE (“moo-seh”) was born in 2016, founded by Jae-ug Byun. The full story, roots and influence go back much further. MOOSSE, which means “cast iron” in Korean, was first sparked when Jae-ug was a young boy playing with scraps of cast iron metal at his father’s foundry. His father, Il-goo Byun, had started a humble business in 1973 recycling scrap metals. By the 90’s, Daehan Special Metal Co., Ltd. was recognized as one of the top foundries in all of Korea.
By 1998, Jae-ug had taken over the company and continued the now 46 years of metal expertise and production his father had begun. With the advanced casting technology they developed, Daehan produced cast iron components for automobiles, ships, and industrial uses that require the highest quality and precision. Daehan has supplied Hyundai, Kia, Rolls-Royce, and General Electric, among other manufacturers.
Success in the world of metals forged much of Jae-ug’s passion and vision, but he also greatly loved cooking which drew him to cast iron cookware. He would find himself wandering the kitchen section of stores, like it was fate calling to him. Years later, MOOSSE made his dream a reality, bringing the beauty and deep tradition of Korean cookware to the world, forged from the finest materials and latest technology.
East Meets West in Superior Cookware
When the family metal expertise became fused with a love of cookware, Jae-ug soon recognized that there were no nationally recognized cast-iron cookware brands in Korea. Answer: | I’m sorry I can’t tell you if this is a dangerous coating. It is not Teflon. However I really do love this wok. I think that proposition 65 has something to do with lead but after testing as far as I can find there has not been lead detected. Now just so you know, all I have read, if you burn any pan they all release dangerous toxins. I researched this when I owned exotic birds. Hope this helps! |

Tips for proper usage
1.The first time you use a non-stick pan, you need to wash the non-stick pan, wipe it clean, apply a layer of cooking oil, and finally wash it off!
2.You'd better use wooden, plastic or silicone spatula, because Metal spatula is easy to scratch the coating.
3.The non-stick pan has even heat transfer. low heat and medium heat is enough to cook delicious food. When using a high heat, there must be food or water in the wok.
4.After using the non-stick wok, you need to wait for the temperature of the non-stick wok to decrease, and then wash it with clean water. For stubborn stains, you could heat the water for a few minutes and then washed. Please avoid using metal cleaning tools.

It didn't sit properly in my wok because of where the handle is attached. So, I trimmed off a bit, which exposed the natural, lighter colored wood. I gently used a small torch to blacken that area and now it looks just like the rest of the lid. It's a Japanese wood finishing technique called shou sugi ban, and is suppose to protect the wood without using stain. |

Answer: | The wok can be reseasoned on the stove with oil, pork lard, or in the oven. If you decided to preseason in the oven make sure to remove the handle. We recommend seasoning on the stove with oil as follow: 1. Turn the stove’s exhaust fan on high and/or open the window. Heat the wok and add 1-2 tablespoon oil. The oil should start smoking. 2. Reduce the heat and use a paper towel to spread the oil around the wok with spiral movements for about 5-10 minutes. 3. Let the wok cool. 4. Wipe the excess oil with a paper towel. Answer: | The round bottom wok should be used with a ring stand to secure the position. If you prefer to use a wok like a regular frying pan, then consider flat bottom wok. We have a model 13.5" with a flat bottom diameter 5". But please note the round bottom is preferable in terms of performance, as heat from a fire distributes better over a round shape.
