Answer:	I don't believe they will directly. As i understand it, the Cisco consoles are 8P8C. You would need a box adaptor in the middle to try and make it work and even then, that's if you find one that has more than just the ethernet/CAT, USB and/or SFP ports

Question:	Does this work to connect any RS232 device? I have a satellite receiver that uses RS232 and I need to connect it to my PC
Answer:	RS232 adapters are notoriously tricky. I went through four different ones and some work on some devices and not on others. A big problem seems to be with the USB port on the computer recognizing that it's there. This is the most reliable one I have. All of these products include a driver CD, but I did not have use it with this one. I can't say whether it will positively work with your DVD application, but this has worked with more devices than any other one I own. Amazon's return policy is great. No hassles no arguments. So try and and if it doesn't work return it.
