Question: | Anyone try installing in a 2013-2015 Dodge Dart |
Answer: | Yes but it’s a POS |
Question: | Would I need an amp wiring kit |
Answer: | I've used these amps several times. If your referring to subwoofers, you can run a low-pass filter. Using the smaller 4 channel version of this amp, I run two 6.5" speakers from channel 1 and 2, and bridge the 3rd and 4th channels to run through a low pass filter to a subwoofer. Sounds good. |

Question: | Can this amp power 3 alpine w10s4 subwoofers |
Answer: | The digital channels 30-1, 30-2, 30-3 and above are technically on the same broadcast channel. In the antenna world, the broadcast channel is not necessarily the same as the number that shows up on your TV.In Detroit, where we are 4.1 is NBC and the sub-channels 4.2 and 4.3 come along with it. However it is broadcast on a channel VHF 7 in our area. You can use websites like antennapoint.com to find out the broadcast channel, which is often referred to as an RF channel or REAL channel. This device was designed after the digital transition, and is fully capable of finding and fine tuning. |

Question: | Will this power 4 Kenwood 5 way 6x9 speakers |
Answer: | The HD7694P measures 65" long. |
Question: | When setting the gain on my amp, do I set bass knob remote included all the way up or all the way down? (Not talking about the bass boost on the amp |
Answer: | This wall plate amplifier provides amplified antenna signal to 2 TV sets. It does not provide 12V DC to the antenna. The 12V DC to the wall plate amplifier provides power to the amplifier and to the 12V DC socket on the plate as a convenience to power 12V DC items. The signal from the antenna is amplified to improve reception for 2 TV sets. In a typical RV installation with more than 2 TV outlets, one output from the amplifier is fed to a signal splitter in order to fed the extra outlets. That splitter may be installed inside the wall behind the wall plate amplifier. If the amplifier is turned off the amplifier switches to the cable source if connected, but does not amplify the cable signal. Kenwood KAC-9106D - Reliable performer
Kenwood makes tough, rugged amplifiers that bring you superior sound quality along with reliable performance. When you power your subwoofer with Kenwood's Performance Series KAC-9106D amplifier, you'll hear all the great tonal color, impact, and detail in your music's bass, from the hard punch of the rhythm section to the soft thump of a quiet kick drum.
CEA-2006 Compliant:
CEA-2006 is a system of testing and measurement for mobile audio amplifiers. This voluntary standard advocates a uniform method for measuring an amplifier's RMS power output and signal-to-noise ratio. The criteria for measuring power uses a DC input voltage of 14.4 volts and the RMS power output is measured into a 4Ω load, with 1% or less Total Harmonic Distortion plus noise (THD+N), and over a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20 kHz (for full range amplifiers). Signal-to-Noise ratio is measured in weighted absolute decibels (dBA) at a reference of 1 watt into 4Ω. CEA-2006 standards allow consumers to compare car amplifiers and receivers under the same conditions (apples to apples). Using CEA-2006 criteria, the Kenwood KAC-9106D is rated at 500 watts RMS x 1 channel with a 76 dBA signal to noise ratio. The signal to noise ratio at the rated power output (not CEA-2006 conditions) is 100 dB.
Connections:
Power Connections: The power and ground connections are 0.55" wide screw terminals. The remote turn-on screw terminal is 0.335" wide. A Phillips-head or flat blade screw driver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the terminals. Spade connectors are recommended. The manual lists a minimum of 10 gauge wire for power and ground, but given the 120 amp fuse value and the current consumption specification of 65 amps, we recommend a 4 gauge wiring kit.
Speaker Outputs: There are two pair of 0.335" wide screw terminal speaker outputs; they are internally wired in parallel, making it easy to connect two subwoofers. A Phillips-head or flat blade screw driver (not supplied) is required to tighten/loosen the terminals. Spade connectors are also recommended for the speaker wires.
Controls:
Gain: To accommodate the varying range of signal levels from today's factory and aftermarket radios, the KAC-9106D features an adjustable gain control, 0.2-5.0 volts line level (RCA) and 4.0-12.0 volts speaker level.
Crossover: The built-in 24 dB/octave low-pass filter has a continuously variable crossover point, 50Hz to 200Hz. Because this is a subwoofer amp, the crossover is always engaged.
Bass Boost: The bass boost is adjustable from 0-18dB at 40Hz.

Kenwood KAC-D5101 - Class D Mono Power Amplifier
D Series Amplifiers provide a powerful solution in a compact design, ideal for upgrading your car audio system.
Dual Sigma Drive
This advanced negative feedback circuit improves damping factor and increases accuracy and sound quality. When a signal is passed to a subwoofer, like a 50Hz note, the speaker will move and create the note. However, because the speaker has mass and a suspension, it won't stop moving once it's in motion. This extra movement (sound) creates a type of distortion that's not part of the original signal. The negative feedback circuit senses this unwanted movement and sends out an opposite pulse to stop the speaker like an electronic brake.
Small Size Big Power
The KAC-D5101 is small in size but with its tremendous sound output, it is extremely versatile. It can be installed in vehicles where space is limited and is perfect for vehicle owners who don't want to sacrifice cargo room or who prefer hidden installations.

Kenwood's Excelon X502-1 mono subwoofer amplifier can send up to 500 watts RMS to your subwoofer, and it'll fit almost anywhere in your vehicle. A precise low-pass filter lets you optimize the sound for your sub, while the built-in bass boost lets you dial in just the right amount of thump. The subsonic filter removes ultra-low bass so that your amp and subs can operate more efficiently.
Class D technology ensures that this compact amp will run cool and perform reliably. Kenwood divided the amp's internal circuitry — analog, digital, and power supply — onto separate, non-overlapping circuit boards for improved overall sound quality. The X502-1 accepts input signals via RCA cables from an aftermarket receiver or by way of your vehicle's speaker wiring, so it'll work with almost any mobile audio system. Kenwood's Excelon X302-4 four-channel amplifier delivers 50 watts RMS per channel, yet still fits almost anywhere in your vehicle. Switch this amp over to bridged, 2-channel mode, and you can power a pair of high-performance speakers or subs with 150 watts RMS each. In 3-channel mode, you can use the amp's front channels to drive a pair of speakers with 50 watts each, and bridge the rear channels to send 150 watts to a sub.
Class D technology ensures that this compact amp will run cool and perform reliably. Kenwood divided the amp's internal circuitry — analog, digital, and power supply — onto separate, non-overlapping circuit boards for improved overall sound quality. The X302-4 accepts input signals via RCA cables from an aftermarket receiver or by way of your vehicle's speaker wiring, so it'll work with almost any mobile audio system.

User questions & answers
Question: | is this internally wired for 2 ohm output if you wire 2 4ohm speakers |
Answer: | This is an amazing amp. It’s pushing 4 door speakers and 2 subs. I would definitely buy another. |
Question: | Does this Amp come with a 2 year Warranty |
Answer: | That’s a slightly involved topic. You shouldn’t just go off of the rated voltage for your head unit. Here’s the process I would follow: 1) turn the input sensitivity (aka gain) all the way down on the amplifier. Note: turning the gain “down” should result in a decrease in audible volume. 2) set your head unit for medium volume, and set the base adjuster knob (if installed) to midway. 3) while playing some music that you are familiar with, adjust the equalizer and other sound settings on the head unit until you like how the system sounds. 4) turn the head unit up to 3/4 volume. 5) connect a multimeter (available for about $20 at most hardware stores) across the subwoofer speaker leads. IMPORTANT: the sub still needs to be hooked up to the amplifier - you’re just connecting the multimeter in parallel. Set the multimeter to read volts AC. 6) calculate the max sub voltage per the following equation: Vmax = sqrt(P/R), where “sqrt” means square root, “R” is the rated impedance of your sub (for example, 2 ohms), and “P” is the rated power of the amplifier in Watts RMS for the selected speaker impedance (for example, 600 WRMS). 7) Play a 0dB 40 Hz test tone through the system (test tone sound files are typically available for free via google search). 8) while observing the multimeter, turn up the sub gain until the voltage on the multimeter is as close as you can get it to Vmax without exceeding it. 9) once the sub gain is set, play some music through the system. Turn up the other speaker gains until the speakers sound balanced with the sub. 10) play a 0 dB 80 Hz test tone through the system. Calculate Vmax per the equation above for the front and rear speakers. Hook up your multimeter to all four front and rear speaker channels and verify that Vmax is not exceeded for any of these channels. If it is, turn the gain down on that channel. 11) your system is now tuned. To avoid blowing the speakers, don’t turn the head unit up louder than 3/4 volume, and be careful to not turn the base adjustment knob up past midway at higher volumes. |
Question: | can i hook 2 of these amps up to a 3000 watt harmony speaker |
Answer: | Genuine and NEW...Had mine checked out by certified installer |
Question: | Does this amp feature the Dual Sigma Drive technology |
Answer: | Absolutely you can run it in a 3 channel mode. You would be looking at - 150 watts RMS x 2 bridged at 4 ohms + 600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms Perfect for a set of high end, power hungry components up front and a solid amount of juice for a good sub. |
