Answer:	I do not know. My son installed my cameras. They are not wireless. Sorry.
Question:	What information do I need to know to buy hard drive for this unit
Answer:	In theory you can use any SATA 3.5" (or smaller if you futz with the mounting) drive. But for recording you want a "security rated" drive like the WD "Purple" or equavilent. Not sure what the real differences are, but I assume they are designed to be not expecting to ever "sleep" and I believe they basically ignore read-write errors (other than marking the block to not use next time around) to keep the data flowing. SSD are not recommended at this point in time for $$/TB reasons and the somewhat suspect lifespan when writing continuously.
Question:	Can anyone give me a list of compatible IP cameras that are battery operated and allow continuous recording
Answer:	Why is Amazon forwarding me a question about IP cameras for an "analog" (CVI, AHD, etc) DVR? What I bought does have some limited support for IP cameras, I tested it, don't bother, get a NVR if you want to use IP cams. Analog can have significantly longer cable runs, its why they are still on the market. Don't believe what you see on TV about battery powered security cameras, you'll be changing or recharging batteries every 1-3 months, probably worse with continuous recording -- most use PIR motion sensing triggered recording to conserve power. In my experience PIR is worthless if the cameras view outdoor scenes.

Answer:	DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT buy this product! I returned it right after I tried setting it up. I set up an account on my iPhone via the app. It repeatedly gave me a code “ILLEGAL QR” It asked all kinds of personal questions “for security” that I had never set up or answered. Almost immediately I started getting notifications of someone trying to change my passwords to accounts connected with my amazon account & the account this item requires to set up in order to us the mobile app. BUYER BEWARE!

Answer:	They are a plastic material with a rubberized gasket that goes around and seals the edges. I do not put them in the microwave but I do run them through the dishwasher and have had no problems with them.
