Answer:	Actually no, you will need to uninstall Windows 8.1, install Windows 10, do a full system wipe, and then reinstall Windows XP. Make sure it's the Home edition though, because the Professional edition has a compatibility problem with this wrist pad and will cause continual "blue screens of death".

Answer:	If you're encountering a strong odor, soak the mouse pad for a few minutes in a solution of half-and-half white vinegar and water. Roll in a towel to get rid of excess moisture, then allow to air dry in a place with good air circulation. Repeat if necessary. Vinegar helps with all kinds of odors. :)
