My ISO Metric Thread designation chart shows that an M12 x 0.5 thread should have a major diameter of 11.87-11.98 and a pitch of 0.5mm. I measured the thread with my digital caliper and it measures 11.85mm major diameter and about 0.39mm pitch although my measurements may be slightly off. It appears to be M12 thread. All I can say is that the thread fit my CCTV camera fine. Hope this helps.
