Answer:	Yes, it accepts both. The way the double ball adapter attaches is via a 1/4" x 20 bolt and there is a pre drilled and tapped 3/6" x 16 bolt hole on the other "arm" of the clamp. I went and bought a 3/8" x 16 x 12" threaded rod from Home Depot and used it on the open pre-drilled hole. It worked just fine. Photos to be uploaded showing this.

Answer:	I have a bare bones lamp w.o. Magnifying lens and the clamp is working well ... Much better than the original plastic one though it lasted over 10 yrs.

Answer:	It opens exactly 2 1/8 inch. If your table has a soft edge as mine. It was a hair short of 2 1/4 inch. I was able to force it on. It's made of a nice heavy metal. It has 2 bowl shaped disks that screws up under the table, so it holds on nice and tight. It's nice and sturdy.

Answer:	No. The most this clamp will open seems to be about 2 1/4-2 3/8 inches.

Question:	What material is the lens made of, glass or plastic
Answer:	Standard bulbs such as led or cfl are fine. Decorative bulbs that are heavier can be used. The real issue is what you connect the clamps to and the orientation of the unit. The maximum holding capacity is achieved when you connect them to a flat surface that is not real smooth or polished. Then it is down hill from there. As you extend the unit horizontally from a surface the weight it will hold is reduced. If you are placing it in a vertical position it can handle more weight but you have to take into account balance. As you pitch the unit the weight it can hold will decrease. You can potentially help the unit hold more weight by placing weight on the clamp or connecting it to a hook or other items that give it a firmer grip.

Answer:	Sounds like a defect.

Answer:	I have it right on the edge/lip. so far so good.

Answer:	It opens about 1.2" (30mm). As I note in my review (and others) however, the grip pressure is high so care is required putting it on a monitor. With some tools, I deliberately loosened up the spring so it's not so tight.
