Answer:	All I can tell you is that this TS1983 appears to be the same item I ordered a while back--early 2014. It came with one reticle, which is clearly marked "NO 14." This reticle has two scales, 0.8" long in 0.005" divisions, and 20mm long in 0.1mm divisions. To be perfectly clear, the actual scales are .4" to 0 to 0.4", and 10mm to 0 to 10mm, where 0 is the center vertical graticle. The paperwork that came with it suggests there is no #14 available, just "standard" (15mm to 0 to 15mm / 0.1mm) and #1 - #12 reticles. One guy said his didn't come with a reticle in mid-2014, maybe the product has changed?

At 1000X magnification, you would need to immerse the light path in oil to prevent refraction of light causing blurring of the image.
