They do not come needing a wash, but some people like to do it. That said, the pillow will puff up a bit, and it will also shrink a bit with a wash as it is 100% cotton. Answer:	Yes, all versions of this toddler pillow (low loft, mid loft, and high loft) can be used as a travel pillow and should fit in a carry-on bag. The low loft version will compress down to about 1" thick, the mid loft will compress down to about 1.5" think, and the high loft version will compress down to about 2" thick. The high loft version is probably most suitable for adults.

Question:	Has anyone use this for a "regular" pillow. I have a kinder who will be taking short nap during the day and I was wondering if kids liked to curl up
Answer:	My daughter doesn't use it for that purpose but just in general it is a bit harder than we thought it would be. So if your child likes a soft pillow, it probably wouldn't be a good fit for a nap.
Question:	Inside diameter of neck area
Answer:	4 inches. This neck pillow is actually very thick and makes your hear tilt up uncomfortably.
Question:	Does this pillow go around the front or the back
Answer:	This pillow goes around the back of the neck. Its fairly big so not suitable for a baby.
Question:	Does this work in a car seat
Answer:	It didn't work for us. It was too thick behind their head
