Answer: These batteries say 2500 mAh on them. That is not low discharge. They work just fine in the B500. I use them normally, and keep a set of the Lithium batteries I had bought first, as a backup. So far I have not needed them. The rechargables work just fine. That combined with the 128 GB memory I have in the B500 means I can shoot just about forever. I carry two sets of these rechargables and to sets of lithium batteries with me. So far I have never had to use the Lithium. (The B500 can only indicate space for up to 999 pictures remaining. But it can use the whole card. I have never gotten it below 999 pictures remaining.)
