Answer: I’ve only had them like a year or two and only put one into daily use. It’s still goin strong with no signs of failure. They all do hold the AAs really tight and secure and the plastic is not hardened plastic so there a little give to it. It strikes me as very durable.

Answer: I have not used them before. Normal AA size fits nicely with perhaps 3mm space to move about. If 18650 Batts are of same dimension with AA, therefore it will fit too.

Answer: In this case, the picture is worth 1,000 words ... you get a total of 4 boxes (2 boxes sized for AA and 2 boxes sized for AAA). I've been happy with mine, makes for a lot better storage than a torn open blister pack from the store.

Answer: Yes, they can be reinserted. I chose to throw mine away. I have a lot of batteries in this case and do not need the inserts. For the few spots where I have no batteries I just left the inserts in place.

Answer: I don't know, as I don't know how big the 18650 batteries are. I will say that the case if filled with foam cut with all of the battery sizes. If they don't fit standard battery slots, it would be easy to cut some of the holes to fit that battery. And the charger could be stored in the pockets in the cover. If they're taller than a D cell battery, though, they may not fit well. Hope that helps.

Answer: Only if it is a small one that would fit in the space of the battery tester.

Answer: I haven’t filled it up all the way but if I were to guess maybe 5-8 lbs. it’s substantial but nothing an adult couldn’t handle. Might be a but much for small children or the elderly with arthritis.

Looks like there might be two issues going on: 1. the molding/shaping of the lid is not correct - it is molded the same as the other side instead of molded to accommodate the arrangement of items on the backside, and 2. AA batteries won’t lay flat (the bump for the plus side hits the edge) - even if I force a battery to be flat, it just pops back up. I am only able to get 9 batteries in the back with the lid closed by picking a row where the lid happens to have a little extra bump out to accommodate the plus side of the battery that sticks out a little.

Answer: Hmmm.. First, 1.5 volt AA should be between 2400 and 3200 AH. Alkaline Battery. So one would have the ability for 2.4 hours (low side) at 1.5 volts. To 3.2 hours max drainNow, 8 AA in series would still produce 2400 to 3200 AH at 12V. So eight batteries in series would still only produce 2.4 hours (Low Side) at 12 volts. Double the packs and parallel and then you would double the time between charge. Someone correct me if Im wrong.... It 3 AM in the morning!

Answer: It will work for one fan, but not very long! I'm assuming each fan is 5 ah, so if you use 2500 mAh AA batteries, it will run one fan for about half an hour. I wouldn't try to run two fans because I don't think the wires on this box will handle 10 amps. The amperage is how much current a device will draw in an hour, so a 5 ah battery will run a 5 ah fan for one hour. For fans like this, you really need to use much larger batteries like a sealed lead acid.

Answer: I am sure it will work with rechargeable. But it will NOT recharge them by itself. The two pack is good becuase one of them did not function when i purchased them. Luckily I only needed one
