The letters are hard to see on the keys most of the time, though you can see them when they are lit or when the lighting is just right. If there was one thing to change, this is it.

Reviewing the audio specs, The HP Laptop audio was not designed for high volume applications.... I found this Laptop to be a diamond in the rough with a great price/performance factor.

Answer: This adapts from RCA connectors to HDMI. If your VHS player has RCA connectors on it it should work. It does require AC power though.

Answer: No. It will stretch the 4:3 image to 16:9.
Question: Can this be used to record on old dvd recorder
Answer: This converter cannot be used to convert HDMI to RCA. It can only be used to convert RCA outputs to HDMI outputs. So if your old DVD recorder has RCA outputs and you just want to be able to see its output, then this should work like it works on my VHS/DVD combo recorder.

Answer: Hello, hope this helps. There are no RCA to HDMI and no HDMI to HDMI cables. The only cable supplied was the unit to USB port cable, which was about 3 ft long. You will need the RCA connector cables, the HDMI cable, and a power brick or electric plug for the USB, to make this work.
