Answer:	It comes with a main cord you can connect to your computer as well as an additional aux cord and input. You can have your laptop and PC, phone and computer ETC and ETC. You don't need to buy any more cords

Answer:	No that is not normal. I would check your audio file to make sure it's not panned to one side, but generally they are neutral and equal.

Answer:	Most of the low end active monitors have pretty much the same problem at the low volume. I don't own the new M-audio series but I bought one pair of the M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 several years ago for my son to use with desk top. He leaves it on 24/7 and to my dismay, the M-audio AV40 can last that long. At a very low level of listening, yes like any other cheap and disposable monitors the sound will notin balance ( not the same decibel) between the left and the right monitors.

Answer:	As far as I know, I'd say yes, I don't think the magnets will effect the newer hard drives. In any case what I can tell you is that I have a Toshiba Laptop that I place right in the middle of both speakers on a small table and have never experienced a problem. The sound is awesome from these speakers, they are initially set for a natural symphonic sound curve but they respond nicely to any EQ adjustments for listening preference.

Do you have an interface, are you just using a laptop, and what speakers are you planning to connect to it. Answer:	These speakers are basic book shelf speakers. They will sound fine with most any type of home audio output device.

Answer:	grd. loop hum is generated by other hardware, audio/vidio equip. not correctly grounded plugged into the same circuit (as the speakers) within your space. the speakers themselves don't generate any hum, they only pick up the incorrectly grounded equip. hum already there. ground loop issues are not easy to correct but many times they have to do with a 'home theatre / cable/ set top box' set up. one way to eliminate grd. loop hum is to simply plug the speakers into a different circuit on your elect. panel, different from the plug and circuit picking up the hum. the other ways, more difficult, are to isolate the offending piece of equip. and/or correct the grounding issue with the: equip., circuit/panel wiring, overall space/house earth ground.

The monitors follow the standard practice of having female XLR connectors as inputs, just as you would find on mixing boards and other studio equipment. Outputs generally have male XLR connectors. To accomodate this, standard XLR cables have a male connector on one end and a female one on the other. An unusual arrangement, should you ever encounter one, would require a non-standard cable or a gender-changing adapter.
