Question:	does it work with an electric tuner on my acoustic guitar
Answer:	The speakers are $1250 (new at least). Yeah, they're kinda pricey for what they are, but it's not *totally* unheard of for people to invest like 1/4'ish on stands for speakers. I agree the value isn't there though. That said, while you can find similar stands for 1/3 the price, these were made for the speakers - the bottom of the speakers and their feet perfectly cup into the the top plate, so when you screw them in they really feel like one piece... most plates are just going to be a little too big. The fit/finish is undoubtedly better. And is you get the white, the visual flourish of that silver portion really is killer. It's def harder justifying in black.
Question:	Does this play "clean" when the gain or level is down
Answer:	You can do this, although I would say it is a little overkill to have such fine speakers as surrounds, but that is just my opinion. I installed my LS50W that are meant to substitute ls50 passive I have as fronts. They work just fine for this with a couple caveats, being the most important than since they have multiple inputs, you will have to manually select the AUX input every time you are using the LS50W with your receiver. In my case I did this switch trying to improve stereo performance, and so far I think they surpassed my expectations in the sound quality field. I digress, this is what you will need: 1) AVR with preouts (if you are considering 4 LS50W as your mains and surrounds I can only assume that you have a very high end receiver or even better, high end pre/pro); 2) you will need to set up your mains as large speakers, and apply high pass (optional) and low pass filters for LFE in the LS50W. If you have more than one subwoofer which I also assume you have, you lose your AVR ability to integrate them. My suggestion is you get a minidsp 2x4 and do it yourself. But all these is optional, you might find your subwoofer or subwoofers output more than adequate using a Y splitter to connect them from the LS50W without any further EQ. 2) is only necessary if you are going to use the LS50W streaming capabilities, which based on my limite experience and like one million comments online, you are more likely better off avoiding. Just use your AVR or pre/prop apps and you can forget about the sub output, but then, if it is not a very high end system you are also likely to lose some sound quality. That's why I think my suggestion is the best way to integrate the LS50W into a home theater. Contrary to what many people think, you DO get the low frequency effects sent to the main channels when you don't have subwoofers. The thing is often speakers cannot reproduce effectively those frequencies. In the setup I described you get everything. I hope this helps.
