Answer:	The company says, “Coaxial cable is used for connecting a cable television, satellite receiver, cable modems, VCR, cable box, digital router, antenna, computer network connections, digital audio, converter box and for other audio and visual purposes”. I used it to connect to my building’s master antenna. It worked well. All I did was plug it into the wall receptor. As I understand it from above it is a CATV connection as it connected me to my building’s antenna. You could also use it to connect to your cable box, so long as you have a subscription. I do not see why you would need it as all cable company provide this for you.

Question:	im trying to make my own test leads for different applications, will these work/fit with a voltmeter
Answer:	Depends. It should fit as the multimeters use standard banana plug socket innerds, but for years commercial test leads have no longer used bare plugs because of the hazards associated with accidental contact which would be shockingly dangerous if working with high voltage (yes, these meters are routinely used in high voltage electrical applications - my meter carries a CAT III rating for use with 1000V, CAT IV for 600 V). BUT, I mainly use my meter on ham radio stuff and sometimes on cars - all low voltage DC applications.I just ordered these to make a current (amperage) test rig with Anderson Power Pole sockets. Again, I stress that I am working with voltage running significantly less than 30V (sometimes 24 V systems in aviation or other automotive systems), but I will wrap the plug bodies in heat shrink insulation to minimize likelihood of contact.

The 12 gauge was a little difficult to get wrapped back around and then screw down, but I really don't know of any banana plug that would we easier, without going to the kind where they use a screw to fasten. Answer:	Yes, these do come loose all the time from the time they arrive. But they're good wires durable and flexibility. You can always swap the plugs out or glue them like suggested. I would have to say, out of the few cables I do have they're my favorite, and at a reasonable price.

Answer:	I also have monster cables connecting my front speakers to my stereo receiver. I used this cable to connect a center channel to my receiver. Answer:	Each cable has two wires encased in one sleeve with two connectors on each end, one for + (red) and one for - (black). The connector terminals on any recently manufactured speakers should be coded red and black as well. If the speaker terminal is circular with a hole in the middle, make sure the terminal is fully closed by turning clockwise and insert the Mediabridge plug into the terminal hole. You need one Mediabridge cable for each speaker.

Answer:	Don't think it matters, but I use equal lengths just to put my mind at ease. I bought a 10ft for my center even though it only needed 5 ft... The cables are good quality 12 AWG.

Answer:	Mine are absolutely NOT soldered (or anything else) securely. When I first got them I noticed the banana terminal would spin in the plug end. Initially I figured they must screw in, so I started trying to do so. They never got tighter. They evidently are in a lose collar, which should mean higher than necessary resistance and possible arcing. I hope the company will address this. Is it normal?

Answer:	Hi..Interesting question..These HIGH-GRADE cables do comes in different lengths, and would look great as a speaker connection..BUT NO, most likely NO..The ends of the 12AWG cables are designed of a specific fitting connector. The ends of these cables are a banana type connector. This end would be larger than you (push-in) wire type speaker connection. An easy fix might me to get some nice copper (stranded) probably 16 AWG to 18 AWG, strip the ends twist the strands in a tight wind, and put some solider on the ends..This is referred to as "tinning the wire" this will strengthen the end, for repeated use..if you know how to use "shrink wrap"..you could also use some shrink wrap to reinforce the sheath of the wire as well..This would look nice, and you could tell people how you built something... OR.. you could just twist the ends of the, attach it to the speakers and leave it alone..Good LuckMave

Answer:	Two-12-gauge wires is doubtful. I can vouch for their ability to accept a single 10-gauge wire, which why I bought these. Most banana plugs max out at 12-guage, btw.

Answer:	I had a similar question when I had purchased them, but no one knew the answer. I contacted Sewell and they informed me that the silver colored coating on the plugs are non-conductive. So if they touch it will not blow out your speakers, nor damage the receiver you are using. However, should a conductive material touch the gold plated portion of the plug then it WILL short, and possibly do damage. Hope it helps.

Answer:	When new, the plugs are somewhat of a tight fit. Hold the AVR and push firmly. They will fit.
Question:	My Yahmaha amplifier has flip/squeeze plugs, not the round ones I'm seeing here. Will these work
Answer:	I tried it on a flip style and they were too big. The measurement of the plug is 0.15" or 3.85mm at the tip, at the widest 0.20" or 5.3mm. Your flip connectors may be larger than my example, a quick msr of the max gauge wire you can use will answer.
